Summary: I decided to go with the LG 3D TV based on the fact that I was able to see its 3D capabilities at a local electronic store. At the time the display was out the 3D was great the images really popped out of the screen. Bought the TV and can not replicate the 3D at home. There is 3D but the images just are not popping of the screen even after manipulating the various 3D settings, viewing positions, TV placement, purchasing a high end HDMI cable for 3D and lighting.
Summary: I've had this combo pack for a couple of weeks. I was surprised to find a Blu-Ray player and 42 inch LED-LCD television for this price, but to add 3D capabilities was extra surprising. I have not evaluated the 3D capabilities with a 3D Blu-Ray disc. It works quite well. The television has good colour and black levels are reasonable. I was confused by the assembly instructions and two people should assemble it for maximum safety.
Summary: Fantastic picture, very vibrant display despite the 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio. 3D upscaling is decent, but depends mostly on your source. Sound quality is excellent. Very clear and decently loud. I only wish this TV had smart TV capabilities.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, price

Summary: Bought this bundle (LG 42LW5300 LED 3D TV with LG BD player.). Since I already have Google TV from Logitech Revue, wanted a non-internet TV and for the price (roughly 800 USD plus taxes) this is a great TV. Installation was simple and liked their Menus, very simple and functional. The TV remote works on the BD player too and that's great. Liked the feature of customizing the color.
