Summary: If you want a "no frills" TV with the right numbers for a good picture, this is it. Delivered without incident. However, TV's this size & larger BEG for a HD signal, so if you don't have the service don't bother. Great picture
Summary: First let me say that I'm really at a loss with all these negative reviews. I'm not sure I'm viewing the same television as others are. My experience has been quite good with this display. With that said, as with anything, keep your expectations in check. This is a $800 (MSRP) flat panel.
Summary: I saw the negative reviews and almost passed on this, but I'm happy I didn't. Thin but solid box packed well. For $509, there is no weakness unless you need more HDMI inputs. I just hooked Direct TV and Roku. It is thin and light with bright picture and perfect color out of the box.
Summary: I was looking for a replacement television for my grandfather, due to his Sanyo TV power supply circuit-board going bad. Knowing he was on a budget I found a television this 42 Lg to replace his Sanyo.
Summary: I got this HDTV for my apartment about a month ago, and so far there hasn't been any problems with it. The picture is crystal clear quality, and the design/frame looks very slick. However the sound is a little weak, but you can always add in your own speakers to fix that.
Summary: If your are looking for the best quality, this TV is not for you. I mainly wanted a TV for my video games, watching movies and watching anime. If your looking for a nice looking TV with picture that rates 8 out of 10 for a great price then this is the right TV.
Summary: As with some others, just out of the box, I found both the picture quality and the sound a little bit disappointing, but after adjustment it does really well and is a great deal for the money.
Summary: The LG 42LV4400-UA was incredibly easy to set up. The picture is above average, though with high definition 1080p, most would notice only small differences in picture quality between different TVs. There is a little blurring when watching sports, which is common in my experience.
Summary: Before buying this tv, i did lot of research and read all the reviews. I was little bit worried when i ordered this TV, because i never owned an LG tv before. But thanks to all the previous reviews. My Opinion: This is the best tv for the money.
Summary: I purchased for $510 on the thanks giving weekend. It is better than any TV of that cost. I have tried to watch you tube video (with a WiFi enbaled blue ray player attached with it) on this TV and I am satisfied with the picture quality. I still do not have a HD cable connection.
