Summary: I bought a 37" LG LCD 720p TV back in 2007 and love it. It was time to upgrade and i came upon this TV and bought it for a great price refurbished. Being refurbished, i was a little concerned but have had the TV for a little more that two months and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The picture is great however I don't notice a big difference in motion blur from my 60 htz 37" television.

Summary: the picture is great in HD, but non-HD programs do not look good. also, the screen is too bright. if there is a way to adjust it, i havent found it, since when you click 'menu' it only gives you a limited number of options which i have not found useful
Summary: If you want a "no frills" TV with the right numbers for a good picture, this is it. Delivered without incident. However, TV's this size & larger BEG for a HD signal, so if you don't have the service don't bother.
Summary: Used for our sons's gaming, tv and movies. The graphics are great, contrast very good, the sound adequate and the overall expectations met or exceeded. The size fits well with the room it is used in. Style is great.
Summary: Love this TV. The sound is not the best, but why would you depend on a TV for sound? I much rather have all the work go into the picture than the audio. Leave that for the speakers systems/ receivers. Am super impressed with the weight and thickness of the screen. The mount I purchased to hand the TV was a good 5xs heavier than the TV. The picture is super clear, the menus are very easy to use. Overall extremely happy. Purchased 02/17/12.
Summary: Ordered the TV for a family gift. Made rough measurements of the space we had and figured it would work. Unfortunately, when we set it up, it was way too big for the space. I ended up sending it back. The return process was a snap. Chose the home pickup ($6.00) and UPS was there the next day to pick it up. Refund went through in about 5 days (from shipping). I was really worried about being hassled on the return, but none ever happened.
Summary: Good picture overall. Not worth buying unless you have HD or getting ready to upgrade. This tv really rocks if want to watch sports in HD. The 120hz is practically blur free. Easy to set up & easy to adjust. One needs to spend some time with the adjustments to flesh out the really great picture this unit can produce. Good value for this unit as compared with other costlier brands.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Summary: I bought the LG 42LV4400 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED-LCD HDTV after having read some of the bad reviews and was apprehensize. I can honestly say I am content with the purchase. As others have alluded to, for the price it is a great buy, but if you are looking to buy a high-end, ultra clear tv, then I wouldn't recommend this product.
