  • Summary: Purchased this for my Aunt whose 42" LG quit after 4 years. She has trouble with eyesight so stuck with the 42". It has a ton of features that she will never use such as on-line capability etc. but stuck with the brand she knows. If I had not been there to program the TV, she would never have been able to get it to work because of the limited instructional material and at one point wanted me to return it as she thought the programming procedure would have to be...

Good TV to recommend

DJ, ABT Electronics

  • Excerpt: This TV is full of good things. I will note just a few thing I don't like: 1. WebOS has a web browser. It's great. However, this browser doesn't support Flash from Adobe. 2. I can see a gap between panel and panel frame.3. "Smart Share" software works greatly if you have stable home network (lan cable is recommended). However, it was quite hard to download the software (It's size is over 100MB, but down speed was so slow.
  • Pros: Picture Quality, Useful Sharing Software, Versatile Webos
  • Cons: no flash support, Not Perfect Finish

  • Summary: bought for $500. Not many complaints. I had to change the energy savings feature bc the brightness would keep going dark to conserve power. After I did that every thing is pretty good. Picture is good for the money. I love the wireless wifi - after owning this I will never buy a tv without it (but in a few years every tv will probably have it anyway). Streaming netflix is a breeze 99% of the time.
