Summary: The TV was offered by Amazon at the lowest price point about 4 weeks ago. The shipping was quick and uneventful except for damage to the flimsy LG packaging. The shipper had unboxed it and checked for damage to the contents. I was offered the option of refusing delivery for the mangled box.
Summary: This is the first flat screen LCD TV I have ever purchased (yes I was still surviving on the classic 90's box TV's!), and I must say, this has been a fantastic purchase. I ordered it for $475, and the identical set was at $520 at Best buy (taxes etc included).
Summary: Everything seemed great. Considering everything, the price is fair. At about 40 lbs, this TV can be mounted anywhere. It has 3 HDMI ports and 1 USB port. The brown colored strip along the bottom didn't deter me. The box was missing the remote, hardware and manual.
Summary: It's picture I thought would have been a little more clearer, it's not terrible I just feel like the plasma 1080p I have has a better picture than this LCD, both are the same size, although different brands...not a problem though still looks good.
Pros: Very large viewing area, light and easy to move around. 42" tv for 500$'s can't beat that.
Summary: Have had this TV for about a month now and am very happy with it. The picture quality is great, although the edges around some things when watching non-HD seem a little rough at times (although that could well be the cable company as well).
Summary: Great color, great picture and the perfect size for my entertainment center. Only complaint is that you can't manually adjust the color and can only choose from a few pre-set selections such as vivid or standard.
