  • LED backlit TV causes permanent eye damage.

Led backlit tv causes permanent eye damage! After having vision problems after purchasing a LG LED-backlit TV unit (without knowing nothing about LEDs) I made a research now on LED backlit technology and since the LED lights are directed towards the viewer, watching a LED-backlit TV screen creates a direct health hazard to every viewer. I personally noticed that on my eyes vision after few months of watching LG Model # 42LH90 with LED-backlit screen and my vision became much worse, I need new glasses and my eyes now get tired just a few minutes after watching this TV. The screen is way too bright to watch it with covering one's eyes when it goes bright. I now turned the LED lights completely off and the TV picture is dark and ugly, but this is the only way I can watch it now. As we know it is dangerous to look at LED lights for longer than 90 seconds! Yet LG made a TV with thousands of LED lights directed right at your eyes! Every LED light fixture has a WARNING to not look directly into the LED lights yet LG has made a TV set with the entire screen full of LED lights (emitting white light with enough blue light to impair or damage one's vision) and no warning about any impact of LED lights to your vision. How can that be SAFE? When I called LG management, they refused to exchange this LED-backlit TV into a safe non-LED TV unit. I did not want my money back or any damages, just another, safe TV unit, yet LG declined my request. Also I must mention that LG website is a joke. When trying to access "contact us" on LG website it leads to a failed page and while trying to leave a review there is no way to do it, although the text says you can leave a review, there is NO link or button whatsoever to do that and then it says: "Thanks for being a customer!" BEWARE: WATCHING LED-BACKLIT TV SCREEN PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE MAY OCCUR! http://www.lge.com/us/common/mobile-...lg-reviews.jsp# "This page is empty because this customer has not yet written a review. If this is your profile page and you would like to see content here, please write a review on a recent purchase. Thank you for being a customer!" http://www.lge.com/us/common/mobile-...g-reviews.jsp# Service Temporarily Unavailable Every time I try to access their customer service or leave a review online every time it shows: Service Temporarily Unavailable An electronics website has problems? then how good are their TVs if they can't even take care of their website? LIFE'S GOOD... FOR LG.

Well you better go after car companies for using LED's in their tailights and headlights, better yet every household bulb manufacturer most of them now sell LED bulbs for your house. Looking at any type of bright light damages your eyes. If your eyesight is already hindered of course your gonna get tired eyes looking at this TV but thats not the fault of the manufacturer...Its your fault for not researching what you need based on your current situation. I have had this TV for months and the picture quality and brightness is perfect in every situation. And my eyesight is a perfect 20/20 thanks very much...get a life and find something better to do other than blame manufacturers of good product for your problems...there is nothing wrong with this
