Great TV, Picture, and Sound -- and Reasonable Price
14 July 2009
Summary: Taking a time out here to say I've had this TV for almost 8 months. Excellent picture, clear, well-defined with good color, easy menu controls, good sound features. Viewing at an angle, the picture still looks very good. I know contrast ratio on some of the new Panasonics has skyrocketed, so I would not get too hung up with that, because on this TV, at 80,000:1, the contrast ratio is very good. Menu adjustments for picture and sound are vey simple.
Summary: If you play video games or watch sports this is a great tv. The only complainant I have is it only has one type of audio output (optical). Didn't give me a problem because my surround reciever has an optical input.
Summary: I highly suggest buying this tv. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because I can't figure out how to get the occasional "blur" from fast movements to stop. If anybody does...PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! Other than that, I LOVE THIS TV!!! The picture quality is almost life like. The tv frame is gorgeous, very classy. I guess there could be one more flaw, it has SO many options for things to do to the picture! I just don't have a clue what any of them do!?
Summary: We like our LG 42LH55 very much. While we do not have the digital cable yet, the picture quality is excellent. Sound is good as well. We do notice something in the picture that almost makes the picture look fake and close enough to touch. Kind of wierd and not sure if this is good or bad. Shipping was fast, however make sure that you look things over when you unpackage the TV. We had a scratch on the back side of the TV.
Summary: In a nutshell: Best TV in its class. Sound and picture quality is through the roof, well built, easily customized, and more then affordable. Let me start by saying I am NOT an LG fan, I would rather have a Samsung! The 240hz (weather it be this set or any set) is a bit on the gimmicky side if you ask me as there is little difference from the 120hz, but that wouldn't stop me from buying this set again, its nice to know you wont be held back by old tech.
Summary: Purchased this tv on Dec.14 2009,based on favorable reviews.Easy to set up,disappointed with picture quality compared to our samsung 46 inch hdtv. Major problem with this tv, After many hours ,talking to lg support and with comcast cable people who came to my home,I cannot get any signal when I connect the hdmi. lg will not replace the tv. Terrible situation after spending that much money. John Ocean City,Md.
Summary: This is the first time I have ordered something this big and cost on the Internet. I must say it was great. Amazon was great and the delivery company was excellent. TV - Only issue is the audio sync. I have called LG (India??) who have said a tech will call me. When I asked when - I was advised my issue would in put in the queue. I really do like the TV but if they cannot resolve the audio issue, it's going back.
Summary: I originally bought a 42" Insignia from Best Buy. We hauled it home ourselves, got it out of the box plugged it in and...nothing. The screen wouldn't light up, it was broken. After several frustrating phone calls (most of which they didn't even bother to answer) we finally took the thing back to Best Buy. They took it back, great, but didn't seem to care if we were happy or not and never offered us a replacement. So we decided to take our money elsewhere.
Summary: First off, I should note that CNET is way too critical with their reviews and I'm so glad I went to look at this tv at bestbuy instead of just trusting their review. I don't think you could find a better tv for only 1140.00 To begin, the off angle is just fine and unless you have a living room wider than 15" and viewing from only 6" back, you'll be fine. The remote that comes with the tv is so wonderfully simple that I'd trust my mother to use it.
