Excerpt: I waited years to buy a new tv because I wanted a reasonably priced LED tv, I bought this one on special and I couldn't be happier with it. The picture clarity is amazing, netcast is awesome (no need to buy the wireless adapter, I made a wireless bridge using a $15 router and it works perfectly). A wide array of options, sound quality is better than I expected.
Excerpt: I've owned my LG 42LE5400 TV for five months and have already had to send it to a shop for repairs twice. The first time, it was because the mainboard was conflicting with the LG blu-ray player I bought with the TV; the TV was getting confused by the signals coming in from the blu-ray player through the HDMI input and it would randomly pull up menu options, switch settings and ultimately freeze.
Excerpt: After weeks of searching online and days of comparing TV's in stores, I finally decided on this LG TV and I am thrilled with it. You get alot for the price. I was deciding between a Samsung, Panasonic Vierra and this LG and the LG won hands down. The nature and sports shows make you seem like you are right there!
Summary: The LG 42LE5400 42" 1080p HDTV LED LCD Television is decent in comparision to its price. The picture quality is good in HD, but cable or basic connections are just ok. The remote and features are good but my model has no audio out ports which I find odd, if you consider useing a sound system make sure your unit has the proper ports but also consider that the tv has a decent sound system on its own.
Summary: Excellent TV for the price. Some light bleeding along the bottom edge but you won't really notice it - and for the price here not worth mentioning. The Net functions are basic but one of my favorite features about this TV. Easy to setup, great looking, all round a very very satisfying purchase. Sound quality is poor - just like almost any other TV with built-in speakers. Get it, it'll make you happy!
