Stunning Picture-Vibrant Colors

Lawrence R., Newegg
28 January 2012
  • Summary: After having a 27" inch CRT TV I was worried that maybe a 32" would be too small but instead it was the perfect size for my needs-like I said I was surprised by how good regular DVDs looked so I can imagine how a Blue-Ray played will perform.
  • Pros: This is my first Hi-Def so I was blown away by the beautiful picture and even more so by the breath taking colors. Assembly took 10 minutes. I was worried about receiving a TV by UPS but the TV was so well packaged that it arrived without a scratch. I was concerned about the dark picture my first...
  • Cons: My main problem is that the remote will not allow me to access the TV function and I have to use the HDMI input mode to watch the TV-I don't know if this is because I used the HDMI connection but whatever it is it causes me to lose some of the functionality of the LG remote.

User Review

Elizabeth A., Newegg
29 November 2011
  • Summary: I got this at a steal for $299. The 1080p is more than worth it, especially if you will be online gaming or sitting close to the screen. Honestly, I would have paid more for what I got.
  • Pros: The tv arrived early and in perfect condition. Picture is bright and clear and was next to effortless to calibrate for console video-gaming. HDMI and other ports on left side of screen are a great thing (in addition to the other -two- HDMI ports!). There is also a convenient little cord-keeper th...
  • Cons: The printed manual is abbreviated and they include a CD with the full PDF manual on it. This is annoying when trying to answer a simple question during set up. Turns out I knew the answer anyway, but it should not be so complicated to check. I am all for conserving natural resources, but either p...

pretty good monitors

WAYNE T., Newegg
21 October 2011
  • Summary: These are overall great monitors for what I am using them for.
  • Pros: I bought 8 of these to replace some Insignia monitors in a display-wall type scenario. Where the original monitors flickered and reset constantly, these monitors work flawlessly. They handle all sorts of resolutions on the VGA port, unlike other cheaper screens that only support higher resolution...
  • Cons: The VGA and power ports on the back of the monitor come directly out the back of the monitor, instead of being on a spine or some other method of bringing it out sideways. This causes small issues when using flat wall mounting brackets where you are trying to mount as flat to the wall as possible...

Great LCD

Scott Y., Newegg
20 October 2011
  • Summary: Went to a local Best Buy while Newegg had it on sale, it was on sale there as well however they were still $20 more expensive so I stuck with Newegg.
  • Pros: For a 60Hz LCD this set has excellent HD picture quality! I actually purchased this to use for my PC in my bedroom and also have my FIOS HD box connected to it - it works great for both. I am very pleased with this purchase.
  • Cons: While connected to my PC which res set to 1920x1080 the icons appear blurry and out of focus. Had I actually paid the full $499 price I'd likely be a bit disappointed. However once a game is launched, or video stream is started the resolution is exceptional.

Definitely good for the price.

Anonymous, Newegg
14 October 2011
  • Summary: You will need a long screwdriver if you're putting this on the included stand and not a wall mount.
  • Pros: Good display, mostly easy setup.
  • Cons: Buttons are a little unresponsive. I sort of wish there were real buttons and not just the touch sensors on the front. Not a problem if you always use your remote.

Lovely.

  • Summary: Bought as a monitor for a Mac Mini, which comes with absolutely no peripherals whatsoever. If I have a gripe, it's with the sound quality. But as I only use it as a giant monitor and play audio via different means, not really an issue.

Good Purchase

Jennifer Roberts, Amazon
26 June 2013
  • Summary: Easy to use with good size buttons on the remote - some are ridiculously small. A good choice for a basic user, we are not very technical in our house. The picture is sharp and clear and sound quality is good.

Would like the sound louder

Dee Lacey, Amazon
26 June 2013
  • Summary: It's light and looks good. I haven't had any trouble with it. The sound isn't as loud as my old tv even on the highest number. With noise from my fans or from the outside and I'm straining to hear.

Good buy for your first flat screen

Hannah, Amazon
26 June 2013
  • Summary: This TV was great- had brilliant colours and visual, loads of extra functions, crystal clear display and looks amazing. Has stood the test of time and the only reason I didnt get 5 stars was because of how hot it gets after being on for a couple of hours which was frightening.
