Summary: I bought this tv in november 2011, excelent quality. great image, sound, easy of use. etc. But the amazing thing is that in february 2010 a huge earthquake occurred in chile. This TV fell from about 1 meter to a wooden floor from a TV stand. In the morning after the quake I found the TV on the floor and fought I was all broken. Not a single sratch and the lcd was fine. I turn it on and it did work !! Thats quality. two thumbs LG!!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Summary: Bought this TV for our bedroom. Does analog (Non-HD) broadcasts very well, if I have to watch non HD programming this is the TV I go to. Also plays HD channels very well too. Great price, and just one of my 3 LG TVs. Will continue to buy LG Products.
Summary: I chose this monitor over all of the rest of the 32 inch 1080 HDTVs primarily because a few reviewers had actually used it as a computer monitor and had reported no artifacts in the display of text and computer graphics that can happen due to mismatch of the dpi or computer text and HDTV for certain number of columns of text characters. Note that most other purchasers of Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and Toshiba had never used it for computer hookups!!!
Summary: The TV looks good when viewing HD stations. The only issue I have is that is does not have a auto adjust for different picture ratios. When I tune to a non HD station showing a film in the 16:9 format it does not fill out to the edges. I have to go in and manual set it.
Summary: Picture Quality: Head-on picture is beautiful, but, unless you are directly in front of the screen, entire screen is "Washed Out". Bright sunshine also washes out picture... even Head-on. Ease of Use: Unless I haven't figured it out yet (and, admittedly, I have not yet tried too hard) switching from TV to AV (DVD Recorder/ Player) is not intuitive. Having to actually change Input before you can see recorded video... rather than simply hit Play... is annoying.
Summary: I had been shopping for a new LCD TV and once this was the 'Deal of the DAy' in the Gold Box, I could not resist. The picture, sound and ease of the menus are fantastic. Highly recommended for the user that does not want to take a course on how to turn on the TV. Thanks Amazon.
Summary: After working at best buy in the hometheater dept you develop a dorkishly fond interest in electronics. If you have a keen eye for quality or have OCD you will be distracted by the motion jutter on this TV. For example, "A bugs life" when they're cascading over the grass, the grass instead of being clear is all blurred. Now REGARDLESS of what ever I just said if you can get this tv under four hundred bucks you are making a good purchase.
