Works fine for a few months and then flashes on and off on its own

Summary: I enjoyed this television for the first three or four months. Suddenly the tv started to flash to a black screen while using HDMI devices, but this was once in a blue moon so it was fine. Now it happens almost four times an hour this tv is used. I wish I could get support for this item, but from what I can see Lg seems to act as if they never made this product. Very frustrated and angry!
Summary: After having done quite a bit of research, I decided on the LG 5300 due its cheap price tag, which now looking back was a mistake. I was fully aware of all the panel drama, but I wasn't particularly concerned since viewing angle wasn't a key selling point for me. I purchased this TV with the intent to use it as my computer monitor/gaming TV.
Summary: This TV has lots of neat features and availability of some ports on the side make it very useful. Price-wise really good. What was a deal-breaker for me was the poor quality picture panel used: LG, for reason best-known to them, ships TVs with IPS panel and VA panel. The latter is sub-standard compared to IPS.
Nice picture but the product stop working after 2 months

Summary: The picture quality was great. The setup is simple. However the set stops working on me after only 2 months. The picture changes itself after 3 minutes from normal to watermark and the resolution deteriorates with vertical scanning lines clearly visible. Will have to call LG and not sure what the outcome will be.
Summary: This is my first time to write a review. I ordered this product on Dec. 26 and got it on Dec. 28. Hoping that I could get an IPS panel TV, I was disappointed to get a VA panel one. I contacted the LG customers service and the following are the record of it, hope it helps for you: Pablo: Hello ****. Welcome to LG Electronics! How may I provide you with excellent service today? ****: HI, Pablo: Welcome!
Summary: Well I just got mine in the mail today and saw that it didn't have a W in the serial #. Called amazon and had it back out within a few minutes. Amazon is great about returning things.. But its also dumb that I even have to send it back.. With a roll of a dice you either get a amazing TV.. or a decent TV. Called LG and asked them if there were any models from them that were only made with IPS panels but they told me they did not.
Summary: I did a lot of research and found out that this TV is a hit or miss meaning you may get the awesome S-IPS panel or the horrible VA panel. I saw this sale on Amazon and decided to take my chances, too cheap to pass up you know what I mean... I alway had bad luck with gambling and this is no exception, the TV came in 2 days (nice) but once I plug this sucker in I was like whoa! this is the most horrible picture quality I have ever seen in an LCD. I mean wow just wow!
Summary: Pros: Nice looking TV Vivid colors LOTS of picture adjustments Decent remote Cons: Spot lighting: Two obvious cones of light bleeding through along the top Some cable channels judder and skip with Cinemotion off and/or on. Probably mostly due to the cable signal, but other TVs don't do it.
