Summary: bought this TV to a friend of mine and now after 10 months the product is dead, and the big picture is the receipt is no longer available, stay away from any product made by LG, that means Low Grade....
Summary: The offer seemed to be atractive, but as soon as I got the TV in my hands this week after go out of customs, all the offer just dropped. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found the TV with the Screen broken. Sealed box and screen broken (that means it was damaged from the origin)... Beacause of my condition of living out of the united states (Dominican Republic), it just didn't whort it to send it back because of the cost (Almost 300 dollars).
Defective TV, looked like it was dropped, stand base missing
16 May 2011
Summary: The TV was supposed to be brand new. It arrived in a box that had a large hole in the front. It appeared as if the tv was dropped on its upper right corner. There was a large white mark on the corner (the tv is all black). We also found that the stand base was not in the box so were weren't even able to assemble the tv. We contacted LG and they shipped us the stand base in about 7 days. We put the tv together and found that the picture freezes on all of the HD channels.
Summary: First off, DO NOT BUY THIS TV! I will tell you why. Before I bought this TV I was reading some of the reviews & people were complaining about how they put VA panels in this TV instead of the IPS panels. At first, I didn't know what that meant. But, now I truly understand how big of a difference it makes. Since my TV came with the VA panels, the brightness & color got washed out if you were viewing the TV from the side.
Summary: My son brought this set for my wife at christmas and the picture was so good I had to have one for my bedroom also. When I turned it on my glee soon turned disappointment. This was not the same set my wife has. The picture was ok but not fantastic as my wifes; you had to look straight at it or the picture became muted. I called Lg and after 45 min got to talk to someone.
Summary: I lost the lottery on this TV too and received the (D)umb VA panel. Amazon's service was exceptional and very understanding, since they are aware of this issue with the D & W panels. Boo to LG for even pulling off such a low tactic with the VA panel on an LED. For those of you who like the poor quality VA panel, good for you, but if I'm paying a premium for an LED then its fair that you recieve a worthy IPS panel. Thumbs down again for LG.
Disappointing - But nothing to do with picture quality.

Summary: Review has to do with the two different panels - VA and ISP. I took the chance and ordered the TV hoping for the ISP panel to show up. NO, received the VA, so returned the TV and had a replacement sent. The second TV was a VA panel again. So I am on my third TV and the outlook is low that a ISP will show up. Amazon needs to be able to communicate with their fulfillment centers.
Summary: I've purchased two of these sets. Both of them were equipped with VA panels (there is a D in the serial #). Apparently LG uses a high quality S-IPS panel in some of their sets (has a W in the serial #) & some with the inferior VA panel. The input lag of a VA panel & horrible picture quality / viewing angles are not acceptable. AMAZON's customer service, as always was exceptional. They couldn't guarantee me IPS panels so the sets ended up going back & refunds were issued.
