Summary: Periodically falsely senses the volume down signal from the remote and turns the tv volume all the way down. The ONLY way to get the TV to function again is to disconnect the power from the TV and reset the TV. Don't bother with this TV...too many reported problems. Much cheaper and better quality TVs out there.
Summary: I'm using this HDTV as a monitor connected to a remote PC via 25' HDMI cable. It provides a high quality display plus good sound at my desk with only one cable and no clutter. The display is the perfect size for my purposes and is extremely light. Fortunately it has a wide stand for stabliity on my desk. The energy saving system is nice as the TV will power down if it does not receive a signal from the PC within a period of time.
Summary: The video is just fine. But the audio quality is so bad I find it irritating to listen to it. Even after trying all the various audio adjustments. There are no external audio outputs, except for a headphone jack, if you want to connect it to a better sound system. I connected the headphone jack to two different sound systems, and this improves the sound quality greatly.
Summary: I bought this TV for my wife who wanted a bigger set for the kitchen that wouldn't take up much room. Since it is incredibly thin, this is the perfect size. It worked well right out of the box and set up was very simple and practically automatic. The picture is excellent and there are multiple viewing options if you want to adjust to match your preference. The sound is OK, but not great.
Summary: I've had the tv about 6 months and use it over the air only. The picture is good, power use minimal, menus are reasonably easy to use but various stations disappear from the channel list over time forcing you to rescan channels every month or so. Have now had the tv about 18 months, it still forgets channels but seems to do it less often. It also periodically falsely senses the volume down signal from the remote and turns the tv volume all the way down.
Summary: I've had the TV for about a week now and the picture quality is great. HD channels are clear and crisp. SD channels are surprisingly good too. I have also have a Samsung LCD TV and the SD channels on that do not compare to this. The viewing angle is really good too. When I did a comparison with my Samsung tv, the LG continued to be quite viewable when the Samsung looked washed out. The design is sleek and light.
Summary: I wanted to upgrade my old 13 inch CRT in the bedroom. After reading through reviews of several TVs in this size I decided to try LG for the first time. The key to me was viewing angle, and this TV has it. Not every LED LCD is created equal when it comes to the viewing angle but LG delivers. It does not wash out as you go from side to side it is very much like my plasma TV in that respect. It is sleek looking with its shiny black bezel.
Summary: When input is HDMI and you turn your SAT receiver or Cable box on together with the TV, which is how most instalations are configured, the sound does not come on. It is often necessary to power off and on the TV to get the sound to come up. LG support was of no help. The vendor did send a replacement but the problem is the same. Tried another TV with the same SAT box an no problem. LG has an issue here that the call in center won't acknowledge.
