Summary: This product is terrible, I am writing this 5 years after first purchase. To begin the first one we had was bad straight out of the box, would not even power on. The company would only swap it for another one, so we accepted the same model as replacement. 5 years later with little usuage as it was in our media room, the screen messed up washing out all of the colors in a strange fashion & and now too costly too repair.
Summary: Best LCD TV I have owned by far. I have had top rated Sharp and others and this tops them all. Clear pic and feature packed. I love the IPOD dock. Quick power up and quiet fast shut down. Very user freindly remote. Plenty of inputs.
Summary: Found this TV at Circuit City for 799 (sale is now over). I have had the TV for a week. I also have a 50 Samsung Plasma, both on HD. The JVC has a better picture on both regular and HD channels. I like the Ipod feature. You need to play with the sound equalizer to get the best quality out of an Ipod without a sound system. Ipod video is fair. Pros: Picture quality - HD and SD, integration of Ipod, sound is above avg from built in speakers (after tweaking settings).
Summary: I bought this particular model and after one week, it's power source malfunctioned. JVC would not honor the warranty. The person on the phone almost blamed me for buying their product (exact words: "You should have recognized the risk before purchasing.") After scouting as many repair shops as I could, the cheapest I could find was $600 for parts and labor.
Summary: Great Picture with 1080p & 1080i the 480 is just as good as the others, I also have a samsung 40" and a sharp 42" and for the price 1095.00 and free shipping its a better tv. I gave it a 4 star because I have not tried the ipod docking station.
Summary: The TV is great...on its own. I am totally impressed with the TV. I have to confess the Ipod Teleport is not that great, at least to me. You can't toggle playlists and you can't listen to the Ipod in TV mode. To switch playlists you have to manually do that on the ipod. I think this is a seriously flaw. Who the heck wants to have to walk up and toggle to switch playlists.
