Summary: This is a solid television. I have had it for over a year and have no complaints about picture or sound quality. The features are pretty good, I just wish it had an RCA port on the side in addition to the one located on the back. Also, the sleep timer has a minimum of 30 minutes and I would prefer a timer that allowed me to input the minutes.
awesome tv if your not hooking up dvd and stereo and game console and....

Summary: This tv was well worth the money. it is excellent in every way except for one thing. there are no where near enough connection types for todays plethora of external devices. was especially disappointed by the single jack for hooking up my stereo system for cinema sound. had to buy a Y adapter to hook up the rca jacks on my stereo. but that is the only thing i can complain about. It still works fine this way. Love this tv for 400 bucks.
Summary: WHEN I BOUGHT THIS TV,I READ THE REVIEWS FIRST...AND SAW POSITIVE FEEDBACK...SO I BOUGHT IT...THEY DID'NT DO IT JUSTICE...THIS TV IS AWSOME...THE PICTURE QUALITY IS SUPPURB...AND THE SOUND...WOWWW!!!IT'S NOTHING LIKE MOST FLAT SCREENS...IT'S LOUD...HAS BASS TO IT...AND SURROUND SOUND BUILD IN IT...IT SOUNDS GREAT...AND WHEN YOU'RE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES...WATCHING A ADVENTURE MOVIE,OR WACHING SPORTS...YOU WILL REALLY LIKE IT...I DON'T USUALLY DO THE REVIEW THING..
Summary: We had originally bought a 39" Insignia LCD tv from BB. Customer service is always a nightmare there but the clerk said this was a good tv for the price. What a piece of junk. It went off and on randomly and constantly forgot channels(since this is straight off the cable..no box) which meant doing the 20 minute channel scan all the time. Back it goes! We found this on Walmart.com and took a shot.
Summary: My old tube tv bit the dust. I had been saving for for a flat screen TV. But I wanted one with FRONT Facing speakers. I did not want to spend extra on a sound bar, nor do I do any gaming. I use a TV for of all things TV and DVD's! I was saving up for an LED model, but then I found out that LED tvs are too narrow for good quality speakers. So I was back looking at a LCD Television. I saw this same model JVC TV at Costco but it was 47" and too big for my available space.
Summary: My largest concern about purchasing this set was that it might have significant motion blur since it is "only" 60 Hz. I've had the set for two weeks now and have watched numerous football games and other sports and can happily report that this 60 Hz. set has VERY LITTLE MOTION BLUR. You can put it beside any of the 120 Hz. sets on the market and you will not be able to tell any difference. So why pay extra for a 120 Hz. set?
Summary: This TV has an excellent picture, but it does have a few flaws which ultimately caused me to return it. The GOOD: in addition to it's quality picture, the TV has a very comprehensive picture adjustment menu, including vertical and horizontal size, left/right and up/down position controls, adjustable backlight intensity, very good uniformity, and an ambient light sensor.
Summary: Love my new JVC 42" TV! The sound is really amazing! Color/picture is wonderful; has the option for the special colors/Vivid built in etc. This is an excellent value, but I bought it on Cyber-week. With a Blu-ray disc player, it's even more amazing! I would not recommend this TV for all non-HD channels however; although I will have to say that the non-HD is better than my previous 32" on this with some messing around with the video settings.
Summary: I bought this tv on the basis of reviews I had read, including walmart, amazon, and others. It IS easy to set up. It is also easy to take it apart to bring back to Walmart. The remote did not work right out of the box so I turned the tv on manually figuring I'll use the cable remote to run the set anyway. The owners manual says when the tv is first turned on, a "set up wizard" appears on the screen so you can program the tv.
