Summary: I searched long and hard when looking for the JVC. I just knew that i wanted a big tv and i wanted a micro display with is LCD, DLP and LCOS. This Tv when compared to others had a better display. This is a big TV—deceptively big. The cabinet that surrounds the screen is so thin that, at first glance, the display doesn't appear that large. This also is much better then any LCD because there is no screen door effect.
Summary: I've had this television for about two years now. When I purchased it they were around five thousand dollars. I've seen them for sale now for about three thousand recently. I think this is owing to the television being only 780p, versus 1080i or 1080p. Unless you are planning on viewing a lot of blu-ray or hd dvd's, be aware that even the best signal from a dvd or satelitte, won't get you to 1080i.
Summary: What is not to like? The only down-side to this television, is that it may take 15 seconds to turn on and off, but credit JVC for allowing the proper warming up/down time, to insure maximum lamp life.
Summary: It's an excellent deal on this JVC TV. Comes with a remote and manual. TV was in excellent shape, like new. Shipping was painless, the driver gave me a hand bringing it into the house. The screen is massive it takes up most of the TV's size (34'x61"). Once I install the Directv HD Receiver it will be complete. Super Bowl Sunday is usually at my house, this year they all will be impressed!
Summary: Got my JVC HD 70" tv in this afternoon. Got it all hooked up. At this time, IM using s-video, and my satellite box coax for reception. I'll have Direct TV install my HD receiver soon. Anyway, my tv was delivered within two weeks of the order, which was fine. Upon delivery, I found the unit to be packed very well. The delivery man (FedEx) unloaded the TV, pushed it up to my front porch, helped me un box it, and then offered to help me carry it inside.
Summary: We purchased the JVC 70G886 70-inch HD-ILA Rear Projection TV and couldn't be more satisfied. The TV was delivered well packaged and not a scratch. The performance is picture perfect. Easy to use and GREAT sound. The on-screen directions are easy to follow. Ours came with a remote and manual. The price was great and made our Christmas!
Summary: I could not be more happy with my new JVC HD-70G886 70 -inch HD-ILA TV . I was already familure with this HDTV, and was not disappointed with the quality and features that are a part of this product. It came with a factory JVC remote , owners manual , splitter, and connector cables. The picture is just like looking through a window, so natural and clear in HD and and exceptional when not.
Summary: This is my second big screen HDTV . I am very impressed with it's features and the quality of the HD picture, it's just an overall fine product for the money. I have not had any problems with this set , I did spend the extra $200. for a two year extended warrenty for peace of mind as I did have one problem with my first big screen HDTV after one year, when the HD tuner went out and I was quoted over $500.
Summary: It is a great deal if you are willing to do a little work on your own. No remote or manual included, but going to the JVC home page you can download one. Shipping is site to curb, have a couple friends over to help you move it in to your house. It is huge it is like sitting in front of your own movie screen. It is great for a finished basement, but not in a room that gets a lot of light. I hope to write a final review once HD satilite is installed next week.
Summary: It has 2 hdmi inputs and has full 1080p resolution. It shows pictures over sized so some of the picture is cropped off on all sides. I tried to make an adjustment, but the menu won't let me. Sometimes the picture won't come on, then I unplug it and wait a couple of minutes and then it comes on. Hdtv shows really good. Old programs don't show up very good. Picture has a very good overall brightness to it. Changing video inputs from video to hdmi and back is very slow.
