The JVC HD 61FH96 delivers an excellent picture at a low price. If you are looking for a high-quality 1080p set then the JVC HD-61FH96 makes for an excellent choice. It is attractive, full of features, performs very well and is available in a shiny black cabinet. The stereo speakers on the HD 61FH96 are located beneath the screen area, which is surrounded by a narrow bezel. There are many 1080p RPTVs available n the market today but the JVC HD 61FH96 is the one with the highest screen-to-front-surface-area ratios in the industry. The overall proportions of the JVC are 57.4 X 41.1 X 18.4 inches (WHD) and it weighs 108 pounds.

When we looked at the overall image quality, the JVC looked very good, and produced mages that are sharper. The HD-61FH96 unlike other TV’s in the same category can resolve every pixel of a 1080i multi-burst test pattern. The JVC HD-61FH96 is able to de-interlace 1080i sources with perfection. The JVC HD-61FH96 has also employed an iris to enhance contrast ratio. Although the black is not very deep but they are dark enough for comfortable content viewing in a dark room. The JVC is able to create an impact with its ability to reproduce low-level dark detail.

The HD-61FH96 is a top-of-the-line model and s packed with useful features. The JVC’s claim to fame is primarily because of the Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) imaging engine and JVC calls its HD-ILA. Three separate imaging chips of 1,920x1, 080 pixels each are utilized by the LcoS. Some f the primary features of the HD-61FH96 include an ATSC digital tuner and CableCard. They are mainly used for tuning encrypted digital and analog cable channels without the requirement of a set top box. According to C-NET, this competitively priced, high-resolution model is a real stunner.
