    Atop Hitachi's H401 series of plasma HDTVs is the P50H401, which offers a 50-inch screen and a higher native resolution than its smaller kin, the P42H401. Other than that, these two models are very similar. With its native resolution of 1,280x1,080, the P50H401 is not a true 1,080p plasma HDTV.   1. Beware Screen Burn !

    I purchased this exact model in August 2007 from Amazon. Now, in April 2008 there is plenty of screen burn such as the CNBC logo and the HIstory Channel logo. I called Hitachi to check the warranty and screen burn is not covered under warranty. Hitachi just said sorry, you have to live with it or buy another one. I will NEVER buy a Hitachi again. Another huge complaint is the remote. The button layout sucks and the remote has to be pointed exactly at the remote sensor... Read more
