Summary: It's a three hundred dollar television. Given the price my rating should have been 5 stars.
Pros: 3 HDMI inputs plus component gives user four HD inputs total. Picture is reasonably good.
Cons: Viewing angle is small. Image is horrible from 45 degrees. IR receiver for remote is angle/obstruction sensitive. TV may sluggish in response to remote. Have to enter menu to change HDMI inputs. Would prefer separate buttons for each input on remote. Too much contrast. Too bright colors.
Summary: Great little tv for under $300. Bought it a year ago and have been using it pretty much daily, still works great! Had never heard of Haier before I bought it, but its lasted this long so I think it was definitely worth the purchase
Pros: Low cost
Cons: Limited inputs (but for under 300, what do you expect?)
Pros: This Haier has great picture quality and the sound quality is much better than I was led to believe. It has become the center piece our livivng room. The HDMI port made it easy to hook up to my Sat box and has a real stable base. Set up was a breeze. It has not had any issues of any kind for 10 m...
Summary: The brand name at first threw me off, but for a 40in tv under $300 I decided it was worth the risk. 6 months in and I have not been disappointed; it seems to me that this tv beats out other brands that fall within a similar price range (Insignia, Vizio, Etc).
Pros: Good picture/color Great menu navigation Price (At $285 this was a steal!)
Cons: Only a 60Hz TV and the screen is no Samsung, but that's to be expected at this pricepoint.
Summary: Stick with Newegg! They treat their customers right.
Pros: Newegg issued a FULL Refund because UPS broke the TV during shippment. So, I never got to see the TV work (you can't plug in and see a broken LCD screen!...at least not without great potential for fire or bodily harm).
Cons: Arrived with a broken LCD screen. Never got to see it/use it.
Summary: This TV cannot pick-up off air signals. Call to Haier Support go unanswered. It appears they sell cheap TV's, and have no support structure. If its a throw-away you're looking for, this may be the one for you. If you want quality, stay far away from this brand.
Pros: Low Price
Cons: Poor tuner sensitivity, No response from Haier Support, Picture quality is low
Summary: I don't think it is the TV but the sound and picture can get out of sync pretty frequently when watching broadcast TV. I've read that this is a common problem with HD televisions. It doesn't happen with Blu-ray, DVDs or Netflix just when watching broadcast TV.
Pros: This TV has worked great so far. There was no dead pixels and has a great picture. Stand swivels and is fairly sturdy.
Cons: The favorite channels function and programming seem to be a little touchy. I'm not having any problems now, but I was getting multiples of the same channel in the menu setup. If you are having problems try returning the settings to default before you redo the auto scan or favorites function.
Summary: I would not buy it for my main entertainment TV as it does not have really vivid color but it's perfect as a second TV for our bedroom.
Pros: Great 1080P TV for a great price. I bought this TV as a second TV for our bedroom. For me, one of the other outstanding features is that the TV swivels. Many of the TV's I have seen no longer swivel.
Cons: The color is not as vivid as my 46" Samsung but that cost 4x's as much.
