Summary: I took a chance buying this TV but I found a great deal and got it for less than $100. I had read all the negative reviews here on Amazon but I thought it was worth the risk for that price. Overall, I'm glad I bought it. But if I hadn't gotten such an absurdly large discount, I would probably be pretty upset right now. Just like how other reviewers have described, my unit has the problem where it fails to turn on sometimes.
Summary: I got this TV for my birthday 6/7/12. I have only used it about 3-4 times because it doesn't power on. In order to get the television to turn on, I have to unplug the TV for a varied amount of time and it gets very irritating. While I'm watching a movie, the screen starts to fade out and becomes completely blue. This TV is a P.O.S. If I could rate any lower that one star, I would. Waste of time and money.
Summary: This TV wont power on all the time, I often have to unplug it several times and then use the remote to get it to power back on, this was the REPLACEMENT Coby sent for my 4025 LCD which lasted only 7 months and powered off forever. They seem to have some crappy component in these t.v.'s that causes issues with it powering back up. Spend 50.00 more dollars and save yourself the headache.
Summary: We have had this TV a little over a year and it just stopped working out of the blue. It's very ironic since it replaced a 20 year old TV. I will never buy another Coby product or buy any electronics from Amazon again. Stick to the big box stores, at least there you get customer support.
Summary: THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE AND WILL NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE AGAIN. THIS TV WORKED FINE UP UNTIL THE 10 MONTH MARK. NOW THE BLUE LIGHT WILL COME ON BUT THE T.V. WILL NOT START UP.
Summary: I picked up this TV at a local store for around $230. It was a hell of a deal, but it isn't the best TV on the market. The contrast balance is pretty wonky -- the blacks aren't very black, and everything is very dark. It takes some time to tweak the visual settings to acceptable levels. I've also found that component inputs often look better than HDMI, at least in the case of my XBOX. That's downright weird.
Summary: I bought a 39 inch Coby TV model TFTV3925 through Amazon website. After 3 months using there was no picture. Called Amazon and I was given information to contact Coby warranty department. A Coby technical supervisor from their technical department instructed me to send the unit to them in Savannah, GA for repaired. Four weeks after spending $50 shipping fee on top of the $300 TV, I have not heard a thing about the status of my TV.
