Summary: I've had this TV since Dec 2010 and it's now Dec 2013 and I have not had a problem with it. Oddly, last night the remote broke but honestly, that's no big deal. (yes I tried new batteries) For a mere $100 I got a great deal, and I've enjoyed using this TV every day.
Summary: Two years until the unit failed. No picture ! No sound ! Used professional test equipment to make my decision. Note: The Amazon cost of this TV on Nov 2011 price was $ 114, NOW August 2013 cost is $ 249. Pretty good jump in price for less than 2 years of service, then failure.
Summary: This Coby replaces one that was all of nine months old when it gave up the Ghost. I don't know what happened, but it killed the DirecTV box at the same time. A whole house surge protector and a small surge protector has been installed on the outlet it is plugged into.
Summary: This is used as the monitor for rearview camera on my travel trailer. In this role this is an excellent display and the only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars is the hokey start up where it displays its own advertising logo.
Summary: Use this TV in the kitchen on a shelf where small size is important. Smallest LCD TV I could find; price reasonable. Picture is excellent; have used for some time and no problems. Previous reviews noted "tinny" sound - confirmed that, but in the kitchen, watching news / sports, it's fine.
Summary: This TV works fine for the purposes I bought it. We mounted it high on the wall on a bracket so it could be adjusted as needed. The only complaint is that my sink is very close to the unit and the angle is steep so I don't get a good picture.
Summary: I needed a TV that fit in a 17" space. This TV does that. The picture is ok if you are standing right in front of it and about 6' are further away. If you are too close or off to the side it turns dark. And the sound is not very good either. If I had a larger space I would not have kept this TV.
