Summary: CobyTFTV is supposed to be a television, right? Then where is the PICTURE? HD is great, colors are great, audio is great...but where is the damn picture??? My set has been questionable ever since I bought it last Sept. Picture starts, picture doesn't start. Wait a while, it comes on. It doesn't come on. Tap it . It comes on Book says turn it off and on. Doesn't work.
Summary: Good unit for the price.. Please note though, it's the type of screen where you have to be looking right at the screen to see the picture. Any sight lines that look on angles to the screen do not get a good picture.
Summary: Looking for something reasonably priced for my garage. Purchased this tv due to the price. You get what you pay for. The TV alone does not produce enough sound for you to hear it even when the sound is turned all the way up. So I installed some extra speakers. I had these on my old 9" set, although the sound was plenty on that set. I had the volume about half max and that was too loud.
Summary: I did alot of research before buying this 15" LCD Tv and this was by far the best one for the money. it's easy to set up, great picture, great number of inputs including an HDMI. The whole viewing angle issue brought up in other reviews is really a non issue for me. This is not the type of TV you lay on the floor and watch . This is more of the countertop or desktop variety. The sound is ok, but with all these tv's could be better.
Summary: I have used the Coby 15" TV for about a month and I can say that I am pleased with its features and performance. I researched a lot of TVs and read many reviews before purchasing this brand, and knew what to expect. This TV replaced an 8-inch tube TV. The Coby was easy to set up to run on cable and easy to customize. What I like is the cable and cord attachments are on the backside so cord and cable don't jut out from the side, and the TV is wall-mountable.
Summary: It was the right size for the kitchen table and a great selection of inputs, but the picture quality is so poor that I'm returning it. The viewing angle, particularly the vertical, is very poor. Unless you are viewing within a few degrees of center, the display is washed out or displays that "negative" LCD image. The stand does not allow enough tilt to compensate. The sound was quite good with separate bass and trebble controls.
