Summary: We bought this TV because the price was so good, but in retrospect, we should have spent the extra money for a higher-quality product. Initially, the picture quality was quite good. The sound was poor, but we expected that and hooked it up to 'sound bar' speakers. After a few months, the screen went blank, never to turn back on again. Fortunately, we had purchased an extended warranty, so we were able to get a new set.
Summary: Upon opening the package, we found a TV, but no remote control, power cord for the TV, or AV cable for the TV although the enclosed manual indicated that such should be found in the box. There were two instruction manuals enclosed in the box (the only enclosures in the box) for both the Coby TV, and one for a Sharp LCD TV. To date, our inquiries regarding this TV have netted us nothing but an automated email saying someone was out of their office until October 1.
Summary: I bought one of these in July 2012, granted it was outside on a covered back porch but it lasted one year before the volume button got hung. It now automatically turns itself all the way up when you turn it on. Prior to that, everytime you turned it on you had to change the picture settings because it would get stuck on a very dim picture. I ordered a replacement 2 weeks ago and when I took it out of the box the picture was so faint you couldn't even see it.
Summary: I am NOT happy with this purchase. I bought it as my 2 year old LCD started getting a shadow & my father owns a LED which was very nice and 3d like- I don't know if I got a faulty one but on a darker screen it illuminates brighter light of white around the edges of the tv making it annoying to watch any "dark" movie (I don't know if this is broken or just the way it is) also the tv is not 3d like at all, it has a pretty good picture but really no better then my LCD has...
