Summary: Great picture! A real surprise for the money. Talking sound fine. But effects and music are not carried well. Even when trying to fine tune, the sound quality is only marginal. My 27" flatscreen Toshiba sounds much better. Which is where I watch anything with a musical score. But for $300, it is a deal.
I like it and will not be replacing this for quite sometime. Unless it breaks. Then I might be screwed as Coby went under.
Darkness 42, Amazon
4 December 2013
Summary: Why I like it. Despite it's profile view it is extremely light. Decent speakers IMO so no need to bother with getting a speaker system. (I use it as a monitor via hdmi) Since I extend my laptop display, it's nice that I can kill the screen (turn off backlight?) without turning off the tv. 3 HDMI, 1 PC, 1 Component, 1 Composite DUAL VOLTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: The quality of this TV for the price is truly amazing. Plus, extra kudos to Amazon. The one arrived with a cracked screen. They delivered a new one, no questions asked, within 48 hours and picked up the broken one the very next day. I couldn't be happier.
Summary: Are you kidding me with this deal? I have a Panasonic Viera 50' Plasma TV in my main living room and I was looking for a good secondary TV to put in my lower living room area. Now, if I was looking for an amazing, top of the line TV, I probably wouldn't go with the Coby, simply because it lacks alot of the bells and whistles that might be nice to have on your main TV. However, Coby isn't marketing this TV in that way, so those weren't my expectations.
Summary: This arrived faster then I thought it would in one piece and in perfect condition. Instructions were dummy proof. I bought this size to fit a small wall Unit and it is perfect, exactly the measurements it stated with breathing room for circulation. Setting it up was fast and within minutes I was watching TV with all of my sharp colors and the clarity settings ready and usable to get the perfect picture. Cable was easy to connect.
