Summary: The tv is good for the price. I have encounter the tv freezing up. not being able to change the channel, nor volume, then we have to unplug the tv from the cable box and let it set bout a minute, then plug it back up and generally that works. the pic seems to be a bit dark at time. but overall it will do.
Summary: I bought this TV online for use in my bedroom, and honestly, I've been very impressed with the quality of it. I was a little skeptical, buying it online without ever seeing it for myself in person beforehand, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, as the other review noted, it is edge-lit, but it's barely noticeable at all. The HD on the screen is sharp and brilliant, crisp and clean.
Summary: I bought this TV expecting a back-lit LED display and instead got an edge-lit. This means that the edges of the screen are overly bright and wash out the image on the sides and top and bottom with no way to fix it. I would not have bought this TV if I had known it was edge-lit since the product description doesn't specify and I think it should. Other than that the picture quality is gorgeous. Do yourself a favor and get something comparable in back-lit LED or LCD.
Summary: I bought this tv for my mother, who's admittedly hard-of-hearing; however, I found that the volume would not adjust to the level needed, as her other televisions do. After reading the six reviews on Amazon, I figure this one must be a lemon. So it's going back to Amazon, even though the free return shipping has expired (Beware: You only have a 30-day window -- then the shipping's on your dime!
Summary: I bought this TV for as a second TV for my game room to be mounted in a corner. The TV was not bad, however, I purchased the TV and wall mount that was advertised with it. The TV was mounted but because the plate on the wall mount was too big, it covered the socket of where the electrial plug goes into the back of the TV causing the wall mount unusable. I will have to return it and get another.
Summary: I purchased this TV February 18, 2011 & received it February 24, 2011. My son set it up for me in a few minutes. The picture is crisp & clear. I was deciding on this LEDTV & another brand. I chose the Coby because it has numerous connections, more than other brands. I wanted a TV that I could connect a vcr & dvd I chose the 24" model because I needed it to fit in my oak TV stand. The actual dimensions are 22.6"x16.1"x6.7" with stand.
Summary: The picture simply couldn't be any sharper. The colors are fabulous, and I haven't adjusted a thing. Easy to set up. Has all the component jacks I can think of. Absolutely love it. My only complaint is there is no universal code for the remote, which is much more annoying than I thought it would be. But no way do I regret the purchase. Paid $199 and what a bargain.
