Portable TV heaven

Amazon
21 June 2006
  • Summary: I live in a boarding school, so naturally I get a curfew, and so does the TV room, so I miss a lot of nighttime programs that I would like to watch, so me and my friends start watching TV as soon as the lights go out. The batteries last for a surprisingly long time..

Casio TV-970 Handheld Colour TV

Andrew Charnock (andycharnocka@hotmail.com), Amazon
14 April 2006
  • Summary: I think this TV is an extremely worthwhile buy. It is very useful for those long and boring car journeys when you just can't miss your favourite telivision programme. Also if your mum and dad are watching the news or something, I use it to wath the TV programme I want to watch.

The Casio TV970 an excellent piece of kit...

JimmyMcJa..., Ciao
14 March 2006
  • Excerpt: I bought my TV970 from a respectable internet sales website for £75. For that price I was not expecting anything fantastic, just something I could use in the car or if I was going out somewhere where I was going to be bored. I was however, very surprised and happy with the results.
  • Pros: Good quality for money
  • Cons: In areas of good reception it may not find a signal

Pretty good for its size

charleych..., Ciao
11 March 2006
  • Excerpt: It's a minature television, in the end, what do you want? It isn't going to be comparable to a full size one. Saying that, I was expecting slightly better reception than I have. Maybe it's the places I've used it, but generally it's a snowy picture with crackling sound, and as you scan from one...
  • Pros: Screen size not bad, not too heavy, good volume control, v clear picture when there's good signal
  • Cons: Eats batteries pretty quick, you need to use in a location with good reception

A HANDHELD TV! IT WORKS! THATS GOTTA BE GOOD!

Amazon
5 February 2006
  • Summary: 7 years ago I was flicking though a catalogue and found what I believed to be the perfect Chrismas present, a handheld TV. It took alot of effort to persuade my parents into getting me one. And when I got it I realised my effort was a pure waist of breath.
