Summary: I recently bought the Orion SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian Telescope, and I have to say that it is a great telescope! It was easy to set up, didn't take me long at all. I was looking at the stars right away. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, I have great views of the stars with it. I'm looking forward to looking at the skies from here on..
Summary: I have an old 8" dob from 1986 (Halley time), and recently my interest has waned. I bought the Orion SkyQuest XT10 in the hope of rekindling my enthusiasm. It worked! The telescope arrived promptly and in good shape with more than adequate packing. Assembly was easy, even for mechanically challenged me. I had a little trouble with collimation, the manuel shows a centered secondary. Once I offset it a little (its a fast scope), everything snapped into place.
Summary: I got my xt10 early july and all i can say is wow. First look was at the moon and i was astonished. I could see the craters in the craters. I was amazed at how many moons i could see on jupiter and saturn, venus is a blast to observe, i cant wait for mars to get real close. I live in the city and the light pollution sucks but the xt10 actually does fairly well and i can see the ring and dumbbell nebula with some good detail, the andramada galaxy was jaw dropping.
Summary: Just recieved the 10 inch classic skyquest dob a few days ago. Assembly was not to difficult, but orion could make assmbly easier by labling what bag is used where. But it isn't too hard to figure out. Looked at jupitar at 130x, 150x, and 190x. WOW!!! it was FANTASTIC!! I have seen jupitar in scopes costing 2-3 times more than what this scope costs, and it was 100% as good as those more expensive scopes.

Summary: I adore this telescope! I debated this purchase for a very long time ... I've been wanting to get a new telescope for a couple of years, but I couldn't decide between a more traditional equatorial mount and an 8 or 10 inch reflector, or a much cheaper 10 inch Dobsonian. While I enjoy the convenience of a Go-To scope, and will probably eventually buy a refractor with a Go-To mount, by far this Dobsonian has been one of the most wonderful telescope purchases I've ever...
Summary: I bought my 10" scope approx 5 years ago and was the best purchase I have ever made. I am continually surprised with the clarity and ease of use. The visuals I get with this scope is astounding.
Summary: I'm just a regular guy that has always liked looking at the hevens at night. Now I look forward to the sun setting a lot more thanks to this scope. I now see detail and objects that were out of my old scopes range. This is my first Dob. and I am hooked, simple to use smothly moves from one object to the next.
Summary: First of all, I made the mistake of buying a cheap telescope at a boxstore. Very low quality and frustrating to use. I spent more time adjusting it then looking through it. A slight breeze shook the scope all over the place. Don't cheap out. Save that money and put a few more dollars with it to get this scope. I bought this scope last July and I wanted to test the scope for a while so I could write an accurate and honest review. I can honestly say this scope is amazing.
