Excerpt: One might think that there are endless features to see in a given viewing time. Ufortunately, with the 40mm lens, with the 20 mm optic gives a nice view of teentire sun, but little elxe. If careful, one can indeed see some features, but they are extremely small - at least for me they were.

Excerpt: This is myfirst solar telescope. I have a very old (1979) Celestron C8, so I am familiar with basic uses. I recently was at a daytime sky watching "party" and saw somwe very sophisticated scopes and great views of the sun. I decided to put my toe in the water. I do not regret it.

Excerpt: I've been a nighttime amateur astronomer and telescope builder for over 50 years. I occasionally projected the sun onto paper to observe something interesting like the Venus transit. But when a friend allowed me to look at the Sun through his PST I was overwhelmed.

Excerpt: the scope works well. great detial from the solar flares and the surface. As with any scope it pays to have a few extra quality eye pieces. i am using a 10mm eye piece from another scope i own and am getting good detail and clarity with it.

Excerpt: Well packaged from factory. I saved $80 by NOT buying the factory hard case but went to Harbor Freight and buying a 22" stainless steel tool box and trimmed the excess foam from the factory packing. Fit perfectly. Stellar photography is easy. Prominences are amazing easy to view.
