Poor Quality Product

Jon_Doh, Adorama
23 September 2013
  • Excerpt: The power tank has a lot of useful features and potential, but it fails to live up to its potential. After only a handful of charges the tank began dying and began to not hold a charge. Celestron customer support is horrible and they would do nothing about it. If you read the astronomy forums you will find a lot of complaints about these tanks for the same issue.
  • Cons: Poor Construction

CelestronPower Tank 17

Adorama
17 September 2013
  • Excerpt: The battery tank 17 came fully charged up and I used it for 3 straight nights at about 4 hours a night with no problem at all with my big Celestron C11 telescope attached to my Losmandy G11. I have a NON - GO TO mount, so I can't speak about the current drains if running with high slew speeds on the device. <br /> I only draw .5 amps per hour with my scope at 12 volts.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Works as advertised

A must have

Ed 5 peaks, Adorama
17 July 2012
  • Excerpt: A must have for your Celestron Telescope. Watch that it doesn't start wrapping around the stand to your telescope when your out observing. My telescope has a cord wrap feature that will stop when it feels the cord starting to tug.
  • Pros: Easy To Use
