Excerpt: This is my first scope and overall I'm very pleased with it. The views have been incredible. Looking at the moon through scope is amazing. The amount of detail is out of this world. I have a zoom lense and being able to see craters and deep inside the craters is awesome.
Excerpt: I got this delivered Saturday. It's an upgrade from my 60mm. My only complaint is that I don't live ina dark area! Saw a moon near Saturn! Jupiter? I won't spoil it for you. This telescope far exceeded my expectation.
Pros: Accurate, Compact, Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Hassle free purchase from B&H. Received on time and shipped with care. The scope is solid and only having brought it out for a quick peek, was able to see jupiter and four of its moons cyrstal clear, Orions nebulae was easily seen and amazing ( using the 25 mm eyepiece that came with scope).
Excerpt: Easy to assemble. Very sharp image. Appears well contructed. 2" focuser allows for a variety of accessories. With a couple of accessory items was easy to mount digital camera. Only downside was focuser could have used a fine focus control.
Excerpt: This is a beautiful scope. Fit & Finish. Nice attention to detail. I especially like the slightly larger focus knobs. Beautiful images & really good all around scope. Enough aperture, yet still somewhat portable in weight.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great finish, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Summary: The scope is decent, some purple fringing but the image is sharp (moon viewing) Focus rack could use improvement, start with a better lube from the factory. The rack has a sticky lube that doesn't do much good. The CG-4 mount would be OK if it came lubed and adjusted properly.
Excerpt: This product was ordered online, and,as always with B&H, everything went smoothly with the scope arriving as promised. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the scope, eq. tripod, and eyepieces. Everything went together with no problems.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Excerpt: not a bad scope for the money, optics are nice, great views of dso's planets and moon. there is a little CA on brighter objects but i dont find it bothersome. the tripod and eq mount are pretty solid and smooth but this is my first refractor comming from a dob.I really like how portable this scope...
Pros: Accurate, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Summary: Views of the moon and planets are excellent with this 120mm / 4.7-inch achromatic telescope and I can use 300x on a night when the seeing is good and steady. The XLT120 is capable of good deep sky work, especially double stars.
