Excerpt: I've had the scope for eight months. It is an excellent product, especially for a novice like me. Overall workmanship and quality are impressive. The tripod seems very stout and I've been pleasantly surprised by the battery life when I've operated it on 8 AAs. I'll just comment on the minor annoyances: 1. The design is such that the controller easily falls off the retainer hooks. 2. The instruction manual is dated June 2006.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Just got this scope and have just started using it. The Star Align takes a few nights to work out but what a great feature. I use the two star align option. The battery pack/light is a needed option for this scope as it doesn't work without power. And the eyepieces are a great deal, and I use the filters alot. I glad a paid a little more and got this package rather then just buying the scope.
Excerpt: This was purchased as a gift for the holidays. Had a few hiccups on the way (first telescope I ordered was not in stock but all was well in the end). <br />This telescope is realtively easy to use if you follow the directions carefully. It does take some setup initially, and if you're lucky enough to have a clear night the views are AMAZING! We've seen the Moon up close and personal, and Jupiter is absolutely stunning! Be warned!
Excerpt: Had a few chances to use this scope so far and I like it. You will most likely need more eye pieces as this unit only comes with the one. Mixed results with the go to function, but I have been having troubles with cloudy skies so I have not had the time to level and other setup things while I rush through the setup procedure. I have been able to find planets without the goto function. Waiting for the night with no clouds and little moon light to give it the full workout.
