Excerpt: This is a great entry-to-mid level astronomical telescope, which is great for observing solar planets. It has excellent optics; I compared it with NexStar SE 6 and can barely notice difference but NexStar Se 6 is almost double priced.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I use this scope for quick set-up astronomy. I took it on vacation and was able to wow a few guests. The Nexstar sets up easy, travels well (I use a cheap plastic toolbox for transporting the optics tube. The foam packing the tube was shipped in fits perfect.
Excerpt: I've been wanting to buy a telescope for some time. I love looking up at night viewing our wonderful sky. I searched and view many articles, videos and price comparison, for a new beginner. Easy to setup and use. B&H had the best price for this telescope, packing and delivery was on time!
Pros: Accurate, Compact, Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Excerpt: This is my first telescope. It is straight forward to setup and has a sharp image. Fun to work with. I have only used for astronomy so far, but my wife would like to look at wildlife and we should be able to do this.
Pros: Compact, Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction

Excerpt: I use this scope as a quick grab and go scope for rapid setup and easy portability, while not spending a lot of $. I have much larger, bulkier scopes that will show a lot more, but this one will surprise you with what it will show. Easy to learn and has accurate computerized pointing.
Pros: Accurate, Compact, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Excerpt: So far this scope has proven easy to use. Mount seems very smooth and solid. Nice size. Nice weight. Easier by far to move than my 8" SCG. Optics seem pretty well made. Have only had it out a few times and seeing conditions have not been good, so have not yet seen it in action under nice clear skies...
Pros: Easy to Use, Lightweight, Portable, Quality Lenses
Excerpt: The 127 is a good starter scope. The optics are crisp and sharp. The motorized drive performs well. The spotting scope is OK. The tripod is way to short and needs to be another 18 to 24 inches taller. If you are serious about shopping for a telescope make sure you can view through it when standing.
Excerpt: I use it occasionally, as I am an amatuer. I was considering the next level up Nexstar 6se, but just couldn't justify the price due to not knowing how much it would actually get used. I decided on this Nexstar 127SLT instead. At about 2/3 the price its performance is everything I hoped it would be.
