Excerpt: Got this telescope for the family during Christmas. Extremely easy to set up. Brought it out the first night and we were able to easily see the moon as well as some cool stars. The stand does shake easily if bumped, but I can imagine it being built much mor sturdy.
Summary: Selected 70EQ for tween boys based on it being a refractor scope (good for newbies), available reviews and perceived comparative value. Total setup time about 60 mins, but was not difficult. Tripod is not solid, though vibrations dampen fairly quickly. 70EQ comes w/10mm & 20mm eyepieces.
Pros: Setup, weight, size, ease of use (after a little practice)
Excerpt: I bought this item for my grandson and he is thrilled with the telescope. The item is well made and he was so excited he could see the craters in the moon. It's an item I would definitely buy again.
Pros: Accurate, Easy to Use, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Summary: I purchased this telescope for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. I had a similar telescope as a kid when I was her age and experienced years of joy with it and wanted to share those with her. The optics provide a reasonable view of easy to find objects.
