Excerpt: A very cheap telescope with limitations as a result. The tripod really needs to be higher, as you will find yourself sitting on a chair or kneeling to use it much of the time. I found the finderscope to be useless, perhaps because I wear glasses. I have to sight along the tube and then use a low power eyepiece to scan for the object I'm looking for. A proper finderscope would probably be a very useful addition.
Excerpt: Very good make, impressed with the tripod. Was able to see good detail of the planets, the moon and certain nebula and star clusters. Great starter telescope with reasonable price. Expect to see Jupiter its cloud bands and 4 moons, Saturn and its rings and Mars when possible. Eyepieces allow for nice viewing of the lunar craters and maria. Was able to get a good glimpse of Orion Nebula and Pilades cluster. Great product, highly recommend! P.S Easy installation.
Excerpt: I got this as a Christmas present and set it up every night. The amount of detail you can see on the moon is simply amazing. I have also viewed Venus and found that the image was clear. Its a great telescope if your a beginner and I would recommend it if your starting.
Pros: light, easy to carry, Accurate, great first telescope
Excerpt: Hi, Bought a telescope (on the 20/12/12) for my daughter's birthday and she absolutely loves it. She just turned 9 and loves setting up the telescope (with some help from her dad) and then spends ages trying to find things in the sky. Her new hobby (as the 9 year old put it) is star gazing. I would like to thank your staff member (female, sorry cannot recall her name), she was fantastic. She answered all our questions and even helped us select an appropriate telescope.
