Summary: I love the tablet. The 7 inch is just perfect. I bought it in Dec 2012, now (8 months later) I am having difficulty charging the battery. I plug it in and the tablet will turn on but states connect to your charger. so the battery is getting power (turns on when plugged in) but NOT charging. I am now hooked (very dependent on the thing) so will look around for something different.
Summary: On receiving the tablet the Micro USB port has never worked. I bought another connector but to no avail. its been about 6 months now and I will have to attempt to get a replacement from Amazon.
Summary: I purchaes the Thrive through Amazon. Though I was impressed with the tablet over all with its functionality and such the tablet phisicaly was not that great I went through 3 of them because of problem with the tough screen, it would stop working and to find out that Toshiba no longer manufactures these any more I went with a Samsumg Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 If Toshiba kept making these I would have kept mine but parts are no longer available either to bad.
Summary: Its such a great product from toshiba and I was vey happy for my purchase until found out that the battery lasts only hour or two..ohh one more thing..what an hidious, bulky charger that comes with the tiny product..they ve got to do something about the charger as well..
Summary: This tablet has some unique features which makes it different. However, the support and warranty registration negates everything. What I like? The display, micro USB, micro HDMI, micro SD, screen locking features, sound quality (not loudness) are good. What I dislike? The flimsy plastic near the flat pin connector(which is already broken in a week), bad Toshiba support and battery charge (maximum 4 hours) on continuous use.
Summary: I'm an Android fan but this tablet is not worth the money when $200 can get you a Nexus 7 or a Kindle Fire HD. The thrive is bulky and not very quick despite the 1ghz processor. Get one of the new tablets that are the same price!
Summary: I have the larger Thrive. I waited for it. I wanted it. I pre-ordered it, the 32GB model last June or July, whenever. $579 I think it was. For a couple months most of us had the "Sleep of Death" problem. Then finally that was more or less fixed. Then there was an update to 3.2 or something. That's when my Sleep Mode problems appeared again. It wasn't quite the Sleep of Death as before, but you simply never knew when the Sleep Mode was going to work properly.
Summary: ** Updated ** When I first received the Thrive 7, I was really disappointed by the device as it didn't meet my expectations for the price that I'd paid for. I expected more from the Thrive 7 than the Thrive 10 inch version. First of all, I was expecting the connector from the Thrive 10 to be compatible with the 7. As I have found out, the connector on the Thrive 7 is not only different than the 10 inch version, but it is also inconvenient.
