Summary: Not worth the money I bought 2 of these and one of them now doesn't charge. Been in touch with toshiba and basically because it's out of warranty which is only a year there's nothing they can do at the price of £229 when bought it's not worth the money . As I also bought a non generic make of tablet for a quarter of the price and it's still going strong. I used to swear by Toshiba as being of good quality but I now don't think I woild buy Toshiba again.

Summary: The Tablet stopped charging after 4 Months. Toshiba didn't want to know and said it was wear and tear and was not covered by the warranty although many others have had the same problem. Laptop Outlet did nothing to help they kept saying the issue is with Toshiba. I wouldn't buy from them again as their after sales support stinks.
Summary: Bought this from Staples on 17/9/2013!!! At first it was a good tablet but after 6 months it died!!! On 16/3/2014, it started freezing and then the next day the problem persisted so I did a factory reset only to find that this solved nothing, it was still freezing!!! Eventually it froze and died completely!!! Staples won't let me send it for repairs because I lost the receipt and Toshiba (according to one reviewer) has useless customer service!!!
Useless usb port failed after two months tablet now in dustbin
10 March 2014
Summary: I had an old Toshiba Tablet with a jack plug charger and a USB port for data transfer that was very robust and is still going today. Based on the quality of this older, but rather bulky tablet, I decided to have this newer version. Very pleased with its appearance and performance, but like other users here the USB plug, which doubles as a charging point, failed after two months light use.
Summary: My Toshiba AT300 broke down just two months out of warranty. I contacted Toshiba to ask for the cost to repair the tablet. I was informed that the repair cost would be £433.31! for a product that costs less than £300 new. It is obvious that Toshiba just want you to buy another Tablet and pay just under £300 per year for the 'privilege' of having one of their tablets. My suggestion is to look for a Tablet made by a different company. I will never buy from Toshiba again.
Summary: As a tablet the Toshiba AT300SE is fine, But the USB charging socket has failed after just 1 month. This is the first time I have had a USB charging socket fail on any device. Reading other reviews, this is a common problem on the Toshiba AT300SE. Think very carefully when considering purchasing this tablet!
