Summary: The Tablet stopped charging after 4 Months. Toshiba didn't want to know and said it was wear and tear and was not covered by the warranty although many others have had the same problem. Laptop Outlet did nothing to help they kept saying the issue is with Toshiba. I wouldn't buy from them again as their after sales support stinks.
Summary: Bought this from Staples on 17/9/2013!!! At first it was a good tablet but after 6 months it died!!! On 16/3/2014, it started freezing and then the next day the problem persisted so I did a factory reset only to find that this solved nothing, it was still freezing!!! Eventually it froze and died completely!!! Staples won't let me send it for repairs because I lost the receipt and Toshiba (according to one reviewer) has useless customer service!!!
Useless usb port failed after two months tablet now in dustbin
10 March 2014
Summary: I had an old Toshiba Tablet with a jack plug charger and a USB port for data transfer that was very robust and is still going today. Based on the quality of this older, but rather bulky tablet, I decided to have this newer version. Very pleased with its appearance and performance, but like other users here the USB plug, which doubles as a charging point, failed after two months light use.
Summary: My Toshiba AT300 broke down just two months out of warranty. I contacted Toshiba to ask for the cost to repair the tablet. I was informed that the repair cost would be £433.31! for a product that costs less than £300 new. It is obvious that Toshiba just want you to buy another Tablet and pay just under £300 per year for the 'privilege' of having one of their tablets. My suggestion is to look for a Tablet made by a different company. I will never buy from Toshiba again.
Summary: As a tablet the Toshiba AT300SE is fine, But the USB charging socket has failed after just 1 month. This is the first time I have had a USB charging socket fail on any device. Reading other reviews, this is a common problem on the Toshiba AT300SE. Think very carefully when considering purchasing this tablet!

Summary: BE AWARE , NEVER BUY TOSHIBA. I SHOULD VE LISTEN TO MY FRIENDS.. BROKEN MICRO USB PORT SOCKET AFTER ONLY FEW MONTHS!!! WHAT TOSHIBA SAID?.. THAT THERE IS A DAMAGED AND THEY WONT FIX IT UNLESS I PAY 290£ .( 220 new)..80£ to have it back broken... or free disposal.. ???? THEY ARE CHARGING ME MONEY FOR MY TABLET TO HAVE IT BACK? WHAT KIND OF SCAM IS THIS...OR FREE DISPOSAL?? SO THEY CAN CHANGE THE CASE AND SELL IT AGAIN? AND THE BEST PART...
Summary: Based on my experience of a new Toshiba tablet, be vary wary. After 4 months it refused to accept charge and stopped working. Customer Support shipped it to Germany then declared the fault outside of warranty. Would cost more than the cost of new to repair, £80 to ship back to the UK (still broken). Warranty was worth nothing. I checked the charging socket before shipping off to repair and it looked fine - no signs of damage.
Appalling build quality + terrible customer service AVOID!

Summary: Bought tablet from Argos for £200 in June. Worked fine until September when it stopped charging. sent it off to Germany under warranty for repairs. today i find out the warranty doesn't cover it and the cost of fixing it is £270 because it was "user damage". The same happened to my friend's Toshiba laptop last year. Avoid this tablet there are better alternatives from Samsung, Sony and other manufacturers.
