Conclusion: The AT300 is definitely a more premium product, but it has enough drawbacks that a cheaper alternative is better. And while the Toshiba AT270 is one of the best 7-inch tablets out there, the price point is prohibitively high, making the AT300SE the best tablet of choice from Toshiba right now.
Conclusion: And that pretty much sums up the AT300 – it’s good at everything it does, with no major flaws to hold it back and great price in its favour. It won’t set the world alight, but it’ll prove a sound purchase all the same.
Excerpt: It's fair to say we've slammed previous Toshiba tablets for being utterly dreadful. We haven't done this to be mean, or to look big and clever, we've done it because, in our view, those tablets were a waste of money and offered nothing that tablets from Asus and Samsung didn't.
Pros: Stylish, good battery life, nice to use, minimal customisations by Toshiba
Cons: Not great for media playback - Samsung rules here, still arguably too expensive

Conclusion: On many levels, the AT300 gives you a lot of tablet for very little money. The Tegra 3 processor does a great job of handling more demanding apps and games, and overall usability is very good. It’s lighter than the average 10.1in tablet and bar a bit of flex, build quality is generally fine. On the other hand, battery life could be better and so could the screen. Neither is anything worse than average, but wouldn’t you like a little more than that?
Pros: Inexpensive Tegra 3 power, Nice, lightweight design, Good connectivity and SD card slot
Cons: Mediocre screen and battery life, Disappointing camera quality, Poor sound
Excerpt: Toshiba's 10.1in AT300 tablet runs the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and hopes to undercut Apple's iPad. There are two models: 16GB and 32GB, with the latter costing just £379, a full £100 cheaper than the equivalent new iPad.
