Summary: First off, I love the tablet and I've got no complaints about the tablet...the only thing hurting the rating is the power cord. It's very loose where it connects to the tablet, and it stopped working entirely after 8 months. Since these things are $70 a pop it's very annoying to have to replace it.
Not sure purchased as a gift will not know until Christmas
10 December 2012
Summary: I'm not sure what one this is for I have purchase two of the same item. And I'm also not able to give you any information on the item because they were purchase for a Christmas gift and I will not know how they work until after Christmas
Summary: I saw this item in the Sony store in the an outlet and talked to a sales person about it. They had the 16gb for $300+. Just tooling around on ebay, I saw the 32gb for $250 with the $50 cradle. I thought that was a great price for it with the limited time I tested it in the store. Once I got it and played around with it I was very disappointed. It was not as fast as I thought it would be.
Summary: Sony makes some great products, and overall this is a great product, but its not without its flaws. Design and functionality are a plus, very responsive and easy to hold and carry. A plastic screen may be a turn off for some, but it makes it more hardy and is what allows for the looks of this unit.
Summary: First of all, the over all design is excellent. The ergonomics are excellent, Sony really stands out from the crowd on this. The screen is great, sharp, bright, just as you would expect from Sony. I don't really have anything else to compare it to, but the speed seems to be very good. I don't have much experience as far as the technical specs in comparison to other units, so all I can say is there doesn't seem to be any issues or faults here.
"A good tablet but a little of a plasticy feel about it"
23 August 2012
Pros: Easy setup, crisp screen seems relatively quick. SD card for expansion (Sony say max 32GB but I use a 64 no problems)
Cons: Sony support is horrendous. Unit crashes randomly, I took it back to the store, and they spend 2 mins messing around with irrelevant settings, asking me what power cycling was. After 2 mins he said he couldn't recreate it so there was no fault.
Summary: I purchased the sony tablet almost a month ago and right away I had problems with it. I had high hopes for this android tablet after reading the reviews. It timed out and I couldn't get it to boot back up. It took me a few times and finally it started again after a pin inserted in the reset button after a day of playing with it. It was definitely not a one time fix. I contacted Amazon and they actually called me and told me not to worry.
