"Loved it at first. Very ergonomic, built in remote nice"
7 May 2012
Pros: Nice in hand feel. Easy to read on.
Cons: Fragile, horrible customer service, repairs cost as much as a new unit. Hardware is outdated. Built in Sony Apps are pointless. Have to strip away all Sony apps and download better ones. Not many accessories readily available.
Pros: I like the tablet. The remote control feature is cool and the eReader app is also nice.
Cons: The WORST customer service experience I have ever had. Every level of people I talked to, especially those at the top national level, were very rude and did not want to help. This alone has made me never want to buy another Sony product.
"Traded in after tablet S had auto rotate issues...."
18 February 2012
Pros: Design, remote control functions, decent battery life...
Cons: touchscreen WAY too sensitive, opening apps even when trying to scroll. Sony does not offer 1yr manufacturer warranty on the tablet, tablet had the "auto rotate" issues that I had to reset several times.
Excerpt: I am torn between Poor and Satisfactory for this tablet. It takes a very long time to boot up. I like the design and it is lightweight but this doesn't make a good tablet. The stock speakers are useless. The stock browser is very spotty and many of the times you need to click multiple times in order for it to register. Battery is mediocre at best and I think it takes too long to fully charge and has to be on the charger far too frequent.
"Glitchy, cheap build, and touch screen is garbage."
17 December 2011
Pros: General performance is one knotch below the Samsung Galaxy Tab and one knotch above the Vizion VTAB. A 16 GB model has only 9 GB of memory available and no access to external memory, but how much space do you need for $500?
Cons: Cheaply built, extremely poor and expensive excessories, will not connect to wifi, cannot use with a stylus to write notes in a note app, touch screen misinterprets touch. A very overpriced, overhyped piece of garbage.
Cons: Unit may be defective, or this could be normal-touch screen is overly sensitive. Was not able "touch and hold" icons to rearrange-as soon as I touched the screen, apps opened. Bigger version of my android phone-didn't provide me with any "new" uses.
"Pre-ordered the Sony tablet was excited.disappointed."
1 November 2011
Pros: The screen color is vibrant and good blacks. Some good customization options in addition to Honeycomb.
Cons: Pre-ordered the Sony tablet and was excited to take Delivery.I was very disappointed with the build quality.I can't believe how cheep this plastic biscuit feels. The buttons on the side feel even worse.I really struggled with the power button. At times I co
