Summary: I BOUGHT THIS ITEM BECAUSE OF ALL THE RAVE IT WAS GETTING .... I RECIEVED IT BRAND NEW IN THE BOX FROM SONY AND ONLY TO FIND OUT I NEEDED TO UPGRADE THE SOFTWARE ... YOU HAVE TO CALL SONY'S 800 NUMBER AND GIVE THEM THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THEY GO STEP BY STEP ON WHAT TO DO ... WORKING PERFECTLY FINE
It's basically a fancy-pants alarm clock with a wif-fi connection

Summary: I just bought one yesterday, 12/18/12, at a severe discount from my employer. I was able to view news streams and other pre-loaded apps, and surf the web without registering it. In fact, I couldn't register it on my computer (as it says you are required to do) because the website, sony.com/mydash...
Summary: 2015 review to reflect people choosing to buy closeout units - I recently bought one of these units as a discount closeout. These units are now over 5 years old discontinued and only have limited support. The software and hardware is a bit older and less responsive than what people are used to now.
Summary: The Dash was a pain to set up and less customizable than I prefer. However, it does a decent job of streaming Pandora to my Bose Wave Radio. I tried using it as an alarm clock but it proved unreliable. Every so often, it just stops working and needs to be rebooted.
Summary: This is a hard one folks. The dash is perfect if you want a little of a lot of things. It has music , pictures, video, and other apps. I bought mine to keep up with my email for one. Well , my IP does NOT work with the dash.
