Summary: Sony Dash makes your day. Here's how - pictures=photobucket, music=pandora, movies=netflix, weather=dash and other apps to get you through the online app treats. Just a lil synchronizing on your computer/device and your good to go.
Wonderful hardware, pity that Sony no longer supports it.

Summary: Let me be frank. If this review was for a standalone hardware device, I'd give it a 6 star rating. The device itself is wonderful. BUT. You don't just buy a device with this unit - you buy access to a free service to go along with it. Make no mistake, without this service, this device is an expensive paperweight. Sony has effectively killed the service side of the Sony Dash. They have stopped accepting new apps, or even updated apps for bug fixes.
Summary: I need to put together some items just in case something bad happen within my surrounding area. Something to protect my family and move gear and food to a bug out location fast without waiting at the last second.
Amazing Alarm Clock- Internet Radio & so much more...
19 February 2013
Summary: Wow, I wanted a clock that could wake me up to Pandora and I got so much more than that! I think this product is grossly under-rated, I wish I knew how cool it was sooner. Has everything I could want in a desktop alarm, radio, a sound machine, Pandora and Slacker, Netflix, Crackle, You Tube facebook, NY times, news updates, weather, and those are just the parts that I am opting to use! Basically, if you can view it, you can see it on here....
Summary: The Dash was a pain to set up and less customizable than I prefer. However, it does a decent job of streaming Pandora to my Bose Wave Radio. I tried using it as an alarm clock but it proved unreliable. Every so often, it just stops working and needs to be rebooted. That pretty much eliminates it as an alarm clock option. Also, I needed to program it for the screen to shut down completely at night because, even in night mode, it is way too bright for a bedroom.
