Sony Dash Personal Internet Viewer (HID-C10)

PC Magazine
3 January 2011
  • Conclusion: The Sony Dash Personal Internet Viewer is a step up from the Chumby One and more visually pleasing than your standard bedside alarm clock, but it feels like a niche product that lacks focus.
  • Pros: Sleek design with bright touch screen. Excellent alarm clock features. Mainstream apps like Facebook and Slacker Radio work well. All apps are free.
  • Cons: Overall product concept seems a bit flawed. Scope and abilities of apps is limited. Not very portable since it needs to be plugged in.

  • Pros: Thousands of apps, thousands of features, Sharp, durable design, Integrated Wi-Fi, Responsive touch screen
  • Cons: Slow, Light leaks from the edge of the bezel, Poor screen sharpness
