A great tool, though Windows 8 leaves something to be desired

Summary: I love this thing! What I like is the wonderful screen that allows me to paint directly on the screen using Windows-based painting programs. Being able to try out ideas with electronic paint is is of great benefit to my work. I also enjoy watching video on this device. Had originally thought to buy a Microsoft Surface but it was way too heavy. The Samsung has just the right heft. What I do not like, which does not detract from the ATIV itself, is Windows 8.
Summary: Windows 8 tablets are really not in the same category as iPads and Android tabs, as they are able to run full versions of Windows 8 along with apps. This tablet is especially the case, partially because of the price (way more than an iPad or Android tab), but mainly because of its functionality. For me, this has become a total laptop replacement, which additionally incorporates a touchscreen and very accurate handwriting recognition. Highly recommended for business.
Summary: After much research in products that are both tablet and laptop configurations, I found only one(well except the Surface), that is both of them. While others are "convertible", they are often just fancy laptops and ultrabooks with touch screens that swivel, flip, pop over, etc. Samsung has not been on top of my list for high quality products, but I have not been paying enough attention. The innovation and quality is definitely worth taking note of.
Summary: What sets this apart from other offerings is the quality keyboard. There are lots of competitors out there and I really don't understand reviews that claim it feels cheap, especially as compared to the Microsoft Surface Pro. I like this more than the Surface Pro by miles: the keyboard is much nicer than even their "Type" keyboard, and if you spend any time typing up anything at all, your decision is made for you right there.
Summary: I was looking for something I could use to write (novels and screenplays using the right software) and draw (using wacom technology, etc.), and that would work as a computer for everything else as well. This is it! - The keyboard gives me no problems (another review said this is the model that Samsung fixed everything on - I believe them! But why isn't Samsung adertising this more?) - The stylus/ drawing is awesome. I use Sketchbook Pro and Photoshop, and am loving it.
Summary: I recommend this device over all of them. I tried the surface pro and the Acer aspire s3. Neither of them compare. This model the K01US is the latest model. All the flaws of the previous 700s are gone. Samsung heard the complaints and responded. So far very good.
Summary: I was looking for a tablet that would work just like a laptop and found it! I love the way you can hand take notes and have it save into a word document. I take it to all meetings and am able to conduct business everywhere I go. The only option that I believe is missing is the capability to connect to the internet if WiFi is not available.
