Like the tablet, hate the keyboard

Summary: I bought this 15 months ago. Pros: The processor is very fast and the screen is great. Nice touch sensitivity. Cons: The keyboard constantly detaches (keyboard disconnect problem that is well known for this unit). This nullifies the USB ports on the keyboard. Because it disconnected so often, the keyboard finally blew and is not longer useful. I had to plug a USB keyboard into the unit. The MicroSD port is VERY unstable. Those are my two biggest beefs.
Summary: I purchased this because I felt the Surface just had too small of a screen to do any serious design work. On most applications touch and the stylus worked fine but Photoshop gave me more grief than it was worth and Illustrator had a hand rejection problem as well. In Photoshop the tracking was off even after going through the calibration process several times and resting my hand on the screen would often cause the image to shift completely out of view; this is the exact...
Excerpt: A lot of issues whether by the frustrating OS or by the hardware. See pros and cons. I think that none of windows based tablets are recommended at this point,as it is not optimized for pad like usability. I went crazy after just a couple of months. Bottom line, I do not recommend this tablet.
Pros: Productivity, Full windows experience, CPU Performance, Fast UI, Browser got flash
Cons: Windows RT mode, Apps more expensive than Android if available, Stylus Pen inaccurate on edges, No connection in data between Desktop and RT modes (photos), GPU is slow and cant run basic games which runs perfectly on old Android, Cant get push notifications when in stand by mode, Heavy for daily use, Fails as Laptop due to lean angle of the monitor, Frustrating UX when trying to be productive
Defective pen input, unstable in dock, scratches easily, way too many flaws for the price.

Summary: [UPDATE: 11/16] Okay, I've spent less than 4 days with this tablet, and although my initial impressions were positive, I can't stand this tablet after some practical use. Let's start out with the kicker - the pen input. The ONLY reason I got this tablet over a competing tablet/hybrid device. And you know what? It's broke. And I'd like to say it was on just one tablet, but it's happened on two of them. I can't keep driving to a far-away store to get another replacement.
Summary: I liked the idea of the S Pen and the Samsung brand but I struggled with problems on both models. Ultimately sent them both back. I was hopeful about Windows 8 but there were just too many issues to overcome and it soured me on the use of it. 1. The keyboard on the 700 is unreliable and it appears that I am not the only one who experienced this. 2. The physical Windows Home button never worked on either model.
Summary: As a tablet it is great. Wicked fast. I am returning because the keyboard keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. while it is doing so, the tablet is pretty much paralyzed. It will be fine for 20 minutes or so, then disconnect / reconnect 15 times in 30 seconds. it is so random. gad this thing pizz me off. diddle ding... do do.... didle ding... do do... diddle ding... do do... If you get this, get used to that sound.
Summary: I had purchased the Acer W700 and was very impressed and loved it, screen was beautiful performance was far beyond expectations. But what I was missing was the pen input. So I decided to the Samsung Ativ, I was sorely disappointed. The good: Same performance as the Acer Bigger hdd Came with windows 8 pro And of course the pen The bad: Dock had connection issues The power plug would not charge the tablet had to use the dock to charge Power button was very finicky work...
Summary: i bought this tablet a few months ago with hope that i can use it like a portable tablet or switch to a small desk top. I have had nothing but frustration with the detachable keyboard. It constantly connects and disconnects making it unbearable to use. Until Samsung fixes this product, i will not recommend it to anyone.
