COMMON Touchscreen Failure For ALL Samsung ATIV Tablet PC Models (500t and 700t)
Summary: I bought the 700t from eBAY and it worked fantastically for almost three months until the touchscreen stopped working... s-pen still works, but who cares. (FYI: Samsung DOES NOT honor transferred warranties, so I'm on my own) I was using it for about an hour as a tablet one morning, and when I was finished I put it on the keyboard dock, and put it to sleep.
Summary: Although liking the very small footprint and simplicity of the dock, you will need to add: USB port and separate power line. I am surprised, like other reviewers, that these features were not included.
Summary: I travel quite a bit and often need to complete projects on the road. my ipad was not appropriate as I need more than apps. i took the plunge after some research (mainly with other artists) to see if any one had a solution. This little gem changed my life. I should say i don't use it to edit documents etc. The primary function is for me to draw uninhibited.
Summary: I was excited to get the Samsung Series 7 slate because I was getting tired of walking around airports and to the classes I lecture, with a lap top. The fact that this device can do the same job as my lap top is what brought my attention to it. I can do presentations with ease by using the Bluetooth capability on my multimedia projector and the slate!
Summary: Tries an iPad but just could not cut it from an Office perspective. I tried al the Office like products (even the paid ones) and they could not touch this beautiful device. Now have Windows 8 on it and loving it.
Summary: I recommend that this product may further be enhanced with 256 GB or 512 GB SSD, Intel HASWELL processor, and SIM card installation facility for mobile internet. However, this is an excellent product for persons like me who require mobile computing as an additional facility wherever we go.
Summary: So I purchased this computer so I could take notes on it, which was great. OneNote makes that super easy. Sometimes the touchscreen would be difficult to use, but otherwise I loved my slate. However, after 11 months my motherboard spontaneously combusted. This computer gets HOT, so do plan on buying an extended warranty with this pc. Luckily I bought this at an office store with the assurance program, so I got a very substantial credit to buy a new computer.
Summary: Pound for pound a great tablet and laptop in a tight form factor. My unit is a reconditioned piece and the only complaint I have is the occasionally inconsistent pressure sensitivity creating multiple clicks or dropping dragged objects in odd spots.
