Summary: -Bluetooth was my first solution to the keyboard problem. Even after doing all the updates possible I still have trouble with this. When I attach a Logitech keyboard and a Microsoft mouse I randomly get driver failures from the Bluetooth stack. They both begin to cut in and out. This requires that I delete the devices and re-install them, which reactivates the mouse and keyboard but causes the wireless to fail completely. I have to restart the computer to regain that.
Pros: -The tablet has a very long battery life. It seems like it really gets the 8 hours.
Cons: -The keyboard dock is the worst hardware failure ever. If you look around on the web you will find allot of complaints of constant disconnects. The keyboard will even randomly disconnect and reconnect while sitting on a table with no motion! The problem lies with the contact pins on the keyboard dock. I was able to fix mine by carefully adding a tiny amount of solder to each pin tip. If you add to much solder you will ruin the pins spring feature, causing more problem...
Summary: I would never again buy a Samsung product, after the following experience: I bought a Samsung Ativ 500 T when I was in the US in February 2013. Within two months, the computer died, and I took it to the Samsung Service Center in Bangalore, India. They said that the mother-board had to be changed. Their service was awful; they never return your calls, they never call back as agreed; one needs to keep running after them a hundred times to get any response.
Summary: I really wanted to like this product. Everyone has Macs around me and I am a PC guy at heart. I read great reviews about the tablet and really liked the S pen concept. Here is what happened. I got the device with keyboard. The Windows 8 mobile interface is pretty cool and I liked that. When I plugged in the keyboard and then tried to access it in desktop mode and with Internet Explorer, it was just so damn slow, slow.
Summary: thught Id give it a try. I had connection issues but thought id just deal with it. then i noticed , even though it was plugged in for 3 hours, it had not been charging so it died and I lost everyithing I was working on. Their cust. service was horrible, no help at all, poor attitude as if I was wasting their time. got a asus, awsome and way better price for way better product . and asus cust. servic is great!
