Excerpt: I did not get the Samsung galaxy tab 2 after much deliberation. It was an impromptu purchase without knowing much about the same. It is quite a capable tab with a lot of functionality packed under its 7 inch screen. I am not a tech junkie, but an average user. So any technical references like GHz ...
Excerpt: The Samsung Galaxy tab is pretty impressive but not as much of a Ipad rival as everyone expected and hoped it would be, why you ask? well don't get me wrong its pretty nice but its not as advanced as most android running tablets out there and its running googles android operating system 2.2 Froyo and that Ok in my perspective.
Excerpt: I might not have been so hard on this tablet if I hadn't already owned an iPad. The Galaxy Tab has many issues in my book, but I found the lack of good apps on the Android market, how fast the battery drained, and the awful cameras the worst. The one thing that I loved about it was the size. I...
Excerpt: I bought this device and sold it again within a few months (albeit for a similar price to what I paid, so that was good news, and an indication of the ongoing demand!). My first impressions of the device were good, in that it was small, and the build quality felt good. However, it was, and as I...

Summary: I have an iPad and although I use it for 99.9% of tablet time, I still enjoy using my Galaxy Tablet. I like the fact that it has a very contoured back and also that you can fit it in your palm. the screen resolution is amazing. The problem is the software. Android has not fixed all of the bugs yet. The system force closes too much. For those of you not familiar with a foreclose, essentially it is when an issue presents itself, the system tells you to close the program.
Summary: I have been looking at tabs for several months but refuse to pay "apple-esque" prices. I missed out on the Touchpad feeding frenzy but happened to catch this one on sale for less than $300 here on Amazon. This is my first android device and I love it, tons of apps and very simple and easy to use. I am very happy with the device so far (2 weeks plus).
Pros: Beautiful display, thin and light, great battery, very quick and responsive.
Cons: No software to connect to a PC; what a bonehead misstep of Samsung's to make me spend hours trying and failing to get software to connect to my PC. Win 7 wouldn't auto connect with it, Kies didn't work or their PC software. The screen's smudging is really
