  • Excerpt: For our smart device reviews, we're going to do something a little different here. PC hardware can be reviewed with hard numbers, charts and all that jazz, but the same can't really be said for smart devices. We're going to concentrate more on the look, feel and experience of the device, rather than numbers. After all, virtually all personal use of a smart device comes down to these factors, but we will still include some benchmarks so you can see how they perform.

Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9

gadgetsteria.com
15 March 2012
  • Conclusion: All-in-all, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a decent tablet. If you are looking for a size between the popular 10-11” tabs around and the smaller 7” variety, this is definitely something to take a look at. As I mentioned earlier, it felt great in my hands. I had no problem using it on the go, and didn’t feel like I could drop it at any moment. Respectable battery life, and decent app management, I enjoyed the time I spent with the device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9

CNET
4 February 2012
  • Summary: Large enough to enjoy a film on but smaller than a hardback book, 8.9 inches could be the perfect size for a tablet. Add good build quality and great performance and the only thing holding back the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is its shocking price-tag.
  • Cons: High price; still a few bugs; lacks the integration of Apple or Amazon tablets.
