Review Samsung 10.1" Galaxy Tab 2 Tablet/MID

Notebookcheck
25 June 2012
  • Summary: Little progress. The Galaxy Tab 2 series represents Samsung’s revision to its successful Galaxy Tab family and features models in 7.0 and 10.1 inch sizes based on Android 4.0. Upon review, we found that the revamped devices cannot compete with other current tablets.
  • Pros: long battery life, fast 3G module, modest weight, decent display, We especially liked the long battery life and the very good 3G module . These two factors make Samsung's 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2 what it should be: a mobile device.
  • Cons: poor sound, mean performance, The tablet could use a bit more power . We are baffled as to why Samsung chose the relatively slow TI OMAP 4430 and not its own, stronger Exynos.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Review

BigPictureBigSound
19 June 2012
  • Conclusion: Is my repeatedly-thrown gauntlet between new iPad and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 a fair challenge? They feature roughly the same dimensions and both are available in 16GB capacity, with this entry-level (Wi-Fi-only) Apple option coming in at a nice neat $100 above the one and only Samsung choice, so for...
  • Pros: Gotta love that microSDHC card slot, Superior onboard stereo sound, That IR emitter that turns this tablet into a super-mega-ultra remote, in seconds!, Rich, consumer-friendly Google Ecosystem
  • Cons: The screen pales beside the latest competition from Apple, Slightly sluggish to boot, load, Wi-Fi only, no data/carrier options

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 review

expertreviews.co.uk
10 April 2014
  • Excerpt: If there's one thing that the Google Nexus 7 proved, it's that there's demand for low-cost, yet powerful Android tablets. While Google may have the 7in market sewn up at the moment (at least until the Kindle Fire HD appears), if you want a 10in model, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 could be the...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 review

TechRadar UK
11 December 2012
  • Summary: The popular Galaxy Tab gets a reboot and redesign for 2012
  • Pros: Android Jelly Bean, Good movie playback, MicroSD support, Bright screen, It's pleasing to see Ice Cream Sandwich is making it onto devices out of the box these days, even if Jelly Bean is just around the corner, and Samsung has done a good job of implementing Android 4.0 onto the Galaxy Tab 2 10....
  • Cons: No 3G, 16GB internal storage, Uninspiring design, Average cameras, Although the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 may have looked like an iPad a little too much, it did mean it had an appealing design, something which the Tab 2 10.1 sorely lacks. The two-tone grey, large bezel around the screen and oddly ...
