Summary: I am extreamly please with my Galaxy Tab. It is very thin and light weight. The picture quality is quite nice as well. The battery seems to have plenty of life in WiFi mode. I don't know how well it lasts running it in 4GL mode since I rarely if ever use the 4GL functionality. That leads to my one serious issue with this tablet. Not only will the tablet will not boot up without a sim card it won't boot up without an activated sim card.
Summary: bought an Acer tablet. My daughte bought one and I like it better. I get knocked offline alot (not due to my internet service). And that is frustrating when I am filling out forms andnhavento start over and over and over. Finaly go to my laptop.
Summary: This is a good tablet, no doubt about it. But mine has the annoying, cosmetic problem, named "oil slick" in its center (look at it in YouTube) and no way to fix it. I don't know if Samsung has already fix it in the last batches; it is most noticeable when turned off, when turned on is most visible if there is light reflected on it. A high percentage of Galaxy Tablets 10.1 has that problem, according to what I have read in blogs.
Summary: Purchased the galaxy after doing quite a bit of research. Had not had a tablet, or a smart phone - seen a few but hadn't used one. Had the Galaxy for 3 days and loved, easy to use, fun, seemed destined to all but replace my laptop. Then on the third day it wouldn't turn on. I knew it had power when I turned it off. I waited, plugged it in, still no response.
Summary: Went to use it the other day and it had what is referred to on the web as an oil spill across the screen -- apparently this happens to a lot of them and it's not an easy fix. they will lose a lot of customers with this because there are so many tablets coming out. It was great other than that.
Excerpt: My husband and I bought this tablet a while ago. We have Android phones and love them, so we thought it would be the best idea to get an Android tablet as well- we now wish we had either just bought an iPad or not bought a tablet at all. It is not as fast as we had hoped. Takes a long time to start up, not as responsive as we expected...and it's a little big.
Excerpt: The tablet is usable overall but I continue to receive errors once the marketplace is upgraded to google play. Reasonable battery life....as good or better than I had anticipated. Very little lag time between operations. Light enough to put in your pocket if you needed to. Availability is good for apps but as I mentioned in my main comment I receive kernel error messages once marketplace is upgraded to google play. Streamlined and sleek.
Excerpt: This tablet is one that attempts to fill a void for a 7 inch tablet but doesn't quite make it. Focusing on the positives, the tablet has a great design and is easy to hold with one hand. The overall UI is decent and the tablet offers a host of connectivity options. The only issue is that it just underwhelms. There are other tablets out there that really wow within the 7 inch category, such as the Nexus 7 or the iPad mini.
