  • Summary: The Samsung tablet was faulty & was returned to Walmart for a refund. It turned on ok but had lines running across the screen. I ordered another one online & am waiting for it.

Bluetooth connectivity issues and battery issues prevent me from recommending.

  • Summary: I love the portability of this tablet. Its size makes it comfortable to use in a variety of scenarios. But not being able to use a bluetooth keyboard with ease is disheartening. I purchased a keyboard to be able to use this tablet for more than just video watching. But the constant disconnect even while typing (you would think a constant signal would keep it working) makes work very frustrating. Factory resets and even an update to Kit Kat didn't fix the problem.
  • Pros: battery life (once it gets it act together), Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, Responsive
  • Cons: Audio could be better, battery life stats atrocious, Bluetooth disconnects, Did not meet expectations, downgraded to a standby tablet for portability, feels like a lottery to get a less-flawed product

Features don't matter if you can't charge it!

  • Excerpt: I bought this unit in November, by this year I had problems getting it to charge. At first I could wiggle the plug into a place/angle to get it to charge. I even tried the charger from my samsung phone which has the same plug, but a better cable. Frustration. I UPS'd it in for repair today. Really hurts to send it away after I paid so much for it. They told me turn around was 4 days after they got it, so I'll update my review when I get it back.
  • Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, Realistic color
  • Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, poor quality charger/jack

  • Summary: I.love. this tab. Simular specs to the pro. But it was shipped with a crack across the whole screen. Also charging port is lose. Walmart is sending a replacement simce I called them. 5star customer service. Od give the tablet 5 stars if I didnt have open security tabs and a crack acrossy screen. I lobe it though I had the 2012 note this ones alot better. No pen skips either. Love action memo. But I also cant get my perks to go through.

Galaxy Note 2014 edition

Arang, Samsung
14 February 2014
  • Excerpt: To day I have received two Galaxy Note 10.1 White 32 GB 2014 edition and both had defects. The first one had instabilities within its software making it unable to connect to the Samsung Apps or Hub without an error. Three factory resets later and still the issue remained unresolved. Samsung Tech said to return it and get a replacement since it was fresh out of package rather than RMA it.

Screen problems

Brian Stewart, Amazon
3 February 2014
  • Summary: Things seem to work just fine for the most part, but an ever present problem after going through three of these was a persistent backlight bleeding problem at the bottom of the screen. Read several message boards with people experiencing the same problem. It is really only present in low light, dark screen scenarios, but when shelling out $500 bucks for a high-end tablet, one would expect things like that to have been taken care of pre-production.
